Swedish Automotive is outstanding! Even for someone like me, who has no automotive insight. Their customer service is fantastic. They are able to articulate what the problem is to me. And they make things a priority and break down what I should have done first. They really take the funds into consideration and are honest with what it will look like. It's nice to be educated along the way. They really care about their customers and bend over backwards for them. I feel like that's really important in this business. They get it on every level. I never feel gouged, they always take a conservative approach. And they offer a free loner car, and knowing I'm in real estate, they always make sure I have the nicest loner available so my clients will be comfortable. I go to Swedish Automotive because it is close to my house and I like to support local businesses whenever possible. They are always very friendly and helpful. If extensive work is being done they call you on a regular basis to let you know cost updates and progress on the repair. They really do provide the customer the options and decision power. They are very honest. They have loaner cars that are clean and in good shape. Lastly, they make it easy to schedule appointments and get a loaner car if needed. D. Vincent more

I took my car into Swedish Automotive because I thought something was wrong. They checked it out and told me to wait a day and bring it in tomorrow. At that point they rechecked and said that wasn't the problem and saw that it was something else. Then they fixed it up in an economical and quick fashion. I was quite pleased all around. more

Swedish Automotive are perfect. I love them. I took my car in the first time to have, I don't remember, it was either an oil change or some mechanical issues worked on. Before I went in, I had heard good things from people, and I usually like to go with local businesses for work on my car. From the first time I went in, they were like "boom"--get you in, get you a loaner car, tell you what needs to be done, and call back in a timely manner. I had an extended warranty on my vehicle, and they worked with it, calling the people to take care of everything for me. My car has had a number of issues and things coming up, work needing to be done, and Swedish Automotive is always reasonably priced. They tell me what to do now and what to wait on for later. They're very honest. My biggest compliment is on their customer service. One time I had issues with an engine light coming on, and they didn't have a loaner car to use on-site. Dave wanted to run a diagnostic on it, so he specifically drove me in my car into work and picked me up two and a half hours later with the car ready. And he's done that twice now. Another time, I dropped the car off late on a Friday. The shop was closed, and I called and left a hysterical message because my car was being towed by AAA. When I got to Swedish Automotive, their mechanic was there, and he came over and asked if I was okay and if I needed anything. They have great customer service, and I will definitely go back. I moved about 20 miles away from West Seattle, so I'm not in the most convenient area, but I'll make it happen for the honesty and customer service. I have taken my Volvo to Swedish Automotive on and off over the last 3 years. Most recently, I had a wheel come off my car while I was driving. It had nothing to do with Swedish Automotive because it was put on by somebody else, but I called them up for help. When it happened I was probably 3 blocks away from their facility, so the reception guy just came down, jacked my car up, helped me retrieve the wheel, and limp back to the facility. The wheel itself was unusable, so they had to repair that and do a bunch of other things around the brake on that side. The way they were in customer service was just extraordinary! I thought they were very good, and though I had known they were good before, the fellow who helped me went way out of the way to help me, especially with a wheel rolling down the street. Swedish Automotive provides great service. The people there are genuinely good people and they do really good work there. However, they are more expensive than the dealer! I've told their service department, their technicians and the owners that they are hellishly expensive. Going there is like taking your car to Tiffany's! Yet, we keep going back because they do really good work and we'd be hard-pressed to find anybody better! more

I have owned 3 Saabs over the last 20 years or more and I always take my cars to Swedish Automotive in West Seattle where Dave and Don and Todd have always taken good care of my cars and me. I recommend this team to anyone I meet who owns a Saab or Volvo.And now they work on other makes as well. I'm thinking my next car will be a Subaru and I know exactly where I'll take it for repairs. What I liked about SA was the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.. especially when being greeted by the Owner Dave Winters! the service is 2nd to none especially when you know that they are not trying push more service on your vehicle thats not needed! and honest business that looks out for you best interest is huge in my book!!! Ive already recommended Swedish Automotive to other Mini Cooper owners who have asked me where I get my car serviced! Thank you Dave and Staff at SA! P.S. Swedish Automotive is located in my neighborhood, and driving by one day I noticed that they service the type of car I drive. I went in for the first time recently to have the vehicle evaluated for repairs. The evaluation was very thorough, and I received top notch service. They even cleaned and vacuumed the car before returning the keys. Though the repairs weren't necessary at the time, once they become relevant I will return to Swedish Automotive. I could tell from my experience there that they are an honest business. more

I have a lot of experience working with aerospace maintenance facilities around the globe and Ive come to know when a shop is competent. I get a warm-fuzzy feeling when I walk into Swedish Auto like I do when I step foot inside a top-tier aircraft airline MRO facility. The shop is well organized and the mechanics are very well versed in SAAB maintenance & repair, even more so than the dealership. As proof of this last statement they diagnosed and repaired a problem with a window sensor that the dealership was not able to resolve despite multiple attempts. more

I felt that I got one-on-one customer service with Swedish Automotive, and I don't think I can say that about many mechanics I've dealt with. Dave took more than the normal time to listen to my needs, and after the inspection took additional time to explain everything he found related to my car. I felt like I actually learned something about the vehicle. I recently purchased a used Volvo, and it ended up needing quite a bit of work. Dave went above and beyond in detailing everything that it would take to get the car into optimum running condition. Once we got rolling, the work was done in a timely manner, and they returned the car very clean. I felt that I was in really good hands. Really, I think there's a number of things about Swedish Automotive that keep me taking my Volvo back to them! They will ask you a ton of questions to try to find out what's really going on with your vehicle. I just think they are so helpful and really go the extra mile to make sure they've caught everything they can. If you're willing to go to west Seattle, these guys are really worthwhile! I love going to Dave and his crew at Swedish Automotive. The group of people he's put together are knowledgeable, professional and polite. They communicate often and as much as necessary with the customer to keep the customer informed. I have had the same experience with a small repair as with a larger expensive repair. They are really decent people, good to work with at a great value. It's not inexpensive, but it's worth the money for the work they provide. Dave has put together a great business model, in a way that really enhances his ability to deliver service to his clients. It's a uniquely different experience he's put together. Recently, they moved to a bigger and better building and sometimes I go there just to see it! When I move out of the community in August, I intend to continue using their services. What I like about Swedish Automotive is the staff there are not only knowledgeable about the vehicle, they are knowledgeable about MY vehicle - they know my car inside and out and can provide predictive recommendations for service to keep me safe and running in the future. I always get Swedish Automotive to go over my car if I'm planning a long trip - say to the East Coast. That way if there is any part which is questionable I know in advance and can take that knowledge and either fix it know or know that it might be an issue to keep an eye out for. Great group of people, too. Some are neighbors and I see them walking to work as I live within a short walk of their new shop. more
