Swedish Automotive are perfect. I love them. I took my car in the first time to have, I don't remember, it was either an oil change or some mechanical issues worked on. Before I went in, I had heard good things from people, and I usually like to go with local businesses for work on my car.
From the first time I went in, they were like "boom"--get you in, get you a loaner car, tell you what needs to be done, and call back in a timely manner. I had an extended warranty on my vehicle, and they worked with it, calling the people to take care of everything for me. My car has had a number of issues and things coming up, work needing to be done, and Swedish Automotive is always reasonably priced. They tell me what to do now and what to wait on for later. They're very honest.
My biggest compliment is on their customer service. One time I had issues with an engine light coming on, and they didn't have a loaner car to use on-site. Dave wanted to run a diagnostic on it, so he specifically drove me in my car into work and picked me up two and a half hours later with the car ready. And he's done that twice now.
Another time, I dropped the car off late on a Friday. The shop was closed, and I called and left a hysterical message because my car was being towed by AAA. When I got to Swedish Automotive, their mechanic was there, and he came over and asked if I was okay and if I needed anything. They have great customer service, and I will definitely go back. I moved about 20 miles away from West Seattle, so I'm not in the most convenient area, but I'll make it happen for the honesty and customer service.
