the location and facade of the place look quite decent and formal. The staff were generally friendly. But those pretty much sum up the nice parts. The staff, although friendly, didnt seem to know what to do and obviously didnt take the time to read the client s chart/record. One of the facial treatment that was done by the staff was awful. It made me think she wasnt trained enough. She kept doing the facial treatment on the same spots instead of doing the whole face as was discussed. I was concerned she was going to peel off my skin, unnecessarily. Then, they forgot to pre-medicate my face before the second procedure!!! The doctor came in and did the second procedure and it hurt so bad. The doctor pretty much didnt care (in a friendly smiling kind of way if there is such thing). Then, of course, they forgot to do the third procedure. Nobody, even the doctor, seem to know what my treatments were. I was quite disappointed given the fact the spa is overseen by DOCTORS... or so i assumed. And I did notice that for a SPA, they didnt seem to keep the treatment tools/materials on the tabletop separate from their walkie talkie and other things that the staff touch frequently. I have been to different SPAs and have seen and experienced better. Hoping they will do better next time.\r more

It was decent. I wouldn't pay full price. Thought it was ok and didn't feel as bad, but did suffer a bit of buyer's remorse since I purchased the groupon certificate. I think it also really depends on your aesthetician. I had Shea. She was ok. Not very nice or friendly. Kind of surly and contemptuous. Wouldn't go back since there are so many other places. more

The Spa at SBA is very, very nice and clean with an extremely pampering atmosphere. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely nice and professional. The microdermabrasion and facial was great and the arm, hand and neck massage was a special treat. Maria explained all the products being used and recommended a facial cleaning regiment that I really like. I have another appointment soon and can't wait. No need to visit any other spa. more

I had a great experience at The Spa at Suzanee Bruce & Associates. I purchased a Groupon for a relaxing facial with microderm. Shea was my esthetician and provided great service! Since this was my first time at the spa, she covered details of the procedure and products really well. I have already booked my second appoointment! more

They booked an appointment for me that I ended up not needing, on my day off. Granted, they gave me a gift but I wasted 3 hours of my time. Ditto for the photos for Zerona (which, bty is not worth it, I went 2 x and only lost some inches based upon an aggressive workout and diet... Lipo much better, targets specific area and you do see results, this is kind of ""maybe"". Spa room is nice but laying on a blanket that some other naked person was just on was kind of creepy, the Zerona in dr. bruces' side is in a closet, very uncomfortable room. Rushed through procedure, shea turned machine off before it finished and forgot to take my measurements as well as weight. There are many places out there, I have not tried any of the facials, etc but have had juvederm, thermage, dysport and zerona. I spent a great deal of money and won't go back. Honestly, I have had lipo before and should have again, but this seemed so easy, - it turned out to be a huge waste of several thousand dollars. I was visiting Houston and needed to have some work done and I was recommended the Spa at Suzanne Bruce and Assoc. I had such a wonderful experience and I will go back anytime I am in the Houston area. They listened to my problems and concerns and helped walk me though some simple changes I could make to my routine. I would highly recommend their service to anyone! Not only does your face receive microdermabrasion and a facial, but you receive the most relaxing experience including a hand, arm and upper back massage. I am a size 4 but I still had areas that had cellulite. The velashape machine proved to be what I was looking for. When the procedure is done correctly, the results speak for themselves. I have been a client at the SPA for three years. From the start the thing that made me feel comfortable was the special treatment I received as a client and the options they gave me for each problem. The spa is very clean with a relaxing atmosphere including both the decor and the music. The service facial is excellent. The best!!!The bikini wax was performed with the highest standards of hygiene. I have never found another location that was so careful about cleanliness and health. Maria was my esthetician and she was very warm and friendly. She always answered my questions in the greatest possible detail providing information about both the services at the spa as well as the products it offers. I highly recommend it! more

Shea gives the best facials. You will have beautiful skin after she gets done. Shea is knowledgable about the products and this spa is on the cutting edge. After seeing Dr. Leigh Ellen Eubanks about some breakouts she suggested that I visit the spa for extractions. My first visit I almost fell asleep while Shea was working her magic. She is so gentle and the surroundings are so soothing to be around. My next visit I had my face waxed and that was just as pleasurable,although I did not almost fall asleep during that session. The fact that it's backed by a reputable medical dermatology practice with great trustworthy doctors is why it's the only spa I trust to touch my skin. Pedro is ALWAYS friendly and personable and great as the first point of contact for any client wanting to schedule a service. I love Maria for the facials, microdermabrasion, peels, lash tinting, everything. Amanda is the best waxist and and I love chatting with them both and wouldn't hesitate to book any service with either of them. Alas, the only thing holding me back is my pocketbook.
