Best

Went with a group of my co-workers, get the Oh My God roll. I will go again and again, finally found a sushi place worth the effort to get to. Pros: Food was good

Worst

I have been here a few times already. Today I came for the first time at lunch. It was almost completely empty (which is not a good sign!) I told the women when I ordered I do not...

Great Food, Great Service, Great Day 9/2/2008

Best sushi in Los Angeles.. 6/28/2008

If you're looking for a great sushi place in the Los Angeles area, Sushi Hirosuke is the place. This place was recomended by a friend who went there beforehand and was a little apprehensive at first because of the distance. However, the food is great and the service is prompt. The location might be a little out of the way; the quality of the food was worth the drive. The price of the food is reasonable and for the quality that you're getting, it's well worth it. more

Extravagent sushi 6/28/2008

Sushi was quite exquisite. I will go there again for sure. The different types of fusion sushi was one of a kind. Service was prompt and fast. I just ate there tonight, it is quite a drive but totally worth the drive. Very good experience, has authentic japanese grettings. more

Best Sushi & Oyster shooters around! 1/22/2008

I've been going to this place for 3 months now once a week. Although it's way out of my locale, it is worth the drive from L.A.! The decor and lighting can be better, but each time I've been here for dinner it's busy. The prime place to sit is the sushi bar. Although I love hand rolls and the like, I go there for the sushi and sashimi. Fish is always fresh and melts in your mouth. Presentations are nice and clean. Now, my favorite starter are their oyster shooters (with oysters or if you want to be adventurous have it with Uni (sea urchin). The flavors explode in your mouth! Try the spicy tuna sashimi appetizer as it will knock your socks off. There is always ample chefs behind the sushi bar but I would definately get their before 7 p.m. on Friday or Saturday nights. Plan to wait if not. Although if you're not too hungry to wait, it WILL be worth it! Pros: Fishest fish you will find around. Cons: Bit of a wait if you get their after 7 p.m. Fri. or Sat. more

One of my TOP Sushi Restaurants in LA 11/8/2007

Oh my this place will knock your socks off, IT ROCKS! The Scallop hand roll is the size of 2 normal hand rolls, the fresh salmon sashimi, was the best i have EVER had. TO DIE FOR!! The owner himself Hirosuke was there, right in front of us at the sushi bar so it was extra special. There are a lot of great sushi restaurants in LA but this one is by far in the top 3 for me! Pros: Sushi, Sushi, Sushi! Cons: nothing more

Great SUSHI... 10/21/2007

Great service, great food...try the volcano and cabo special when you go...never had to wait too long to get seated, we usually sit at the bar....seems to always be a wait for tables and booths, make reservations if you don't want to sit at the bar... Pros: Food,Service, Staff... more

Best Sushi! 8/28/2007

This place rocks, I've been going here since I could remember. It is expensive but it's worth it. The sushi there is awesome. I recommend the ""Cabo Special"",""OMG Roll"",and the ""Stuffed Squid"". Also there ""Soft-Shell Crab"" is really good.It does get really crowded there but if you come right when it opens, there really isn't anyone there. Pros: Everything! Cons: Could get crowded more

Shhh, don't tell anybody else... 7/31/2007

... at peak mealtimes the restaurant is crowded. But unlike most sushi restaurants, even when crowded, at Sushi Hirosuke there are tables and big, cozy booths that are isolated enough to have a relaxed conversation with your meal. Pros: Everything. And for a perfect evening, there's a Laemmle Theater right across the street. Cons: A bit expensive, but unlike most expensive restaurants, you will get your money's worth. more

Great Sushi 5/1/2007

Great place big sushi bar,Sushi is fresh.Very crowded on weekend The sevice is good and the rolls are medium size. more

great neighborhood sushi bar 11/7/2005

this is a nice place to go just to catch a quick bite of sushi or if you have a group of people to go with. Hiro and his wife as well as all of the staff are always extremely hospitable and it feels like you've walked into their home. the sushi itself is good, it's not amazing, but it's nice when you don't want to shell out $150 for a meal. it's always better to sit at the bar to get the best service and cut of the fish, but that's a given at most sushi bars. Pros: good value, great service, good food Cons: busy on weekends, no reservations more

Best Sushi Ever, No Exagguration 10/27/2005

I have been to almost every recommended sushi place, including Kushiyu, Yu-n-Mi, Nozawa, Crazy Fish, almost anything you can think of. Sushi Hirosuke is by far the best. I recommend their whitefish tempura cutroll and their avocado crunch cutroll. Overall it is expensive but I think it is worth it. It is the best food I can ever have. I introduced people to it and they refuse to eat anywhere else besides Hirosuke for now on, for sushi. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Pros: Best Sushi, Huge Variety Cons: Slightly Espensive more

Great combo of quality and consistency. 1/28/2003

The user ratings are correct! I've been going here for about 4 years, and it's always consistent and reasonably priced. If you're a staid sushi purist, this may not be the place for you, since creative rolls and plate presentation are their strong suit. Nevertheless, the fish is always good quality, and the owners are friendly. Pros: Creative flavors., Reliable, great value, Worth wait, if any Cons: Wait during peaktime more

Best Sushi Around 7/10/2002

This is the best sushi around, the pieces are huge and prices are resonable. Spicy tuna and albacore are the best. more
