i've eaten a lot of sushi in a lot of places and this is my favorite, hands down. the presentation is wonderful, and there are a lot of truly unique rolls in addition to all the usual standards. the atmosphere and service are what really elevate this restaurant, though. by my third visit, the main waitress ("mama-san") knew my drink order; the other waitresses and the chef pay attention to their customers and ask after them in a pleasant, relaxed way that keeps the mood light and friendly. that's why we keep going back--i'd estimate we eat here once a week. Pros: everything. fresh fish, excellent staff, unique presentation Cons: none. maybe it closes a little early for my taste. more

Great Sushi.. no waiting 10/24/2006

My wife and I consider this quiet little place among the best shushi spots in the bay area, and we have been to most. The special rolls are similar to what you may see at some of the more popular sushi places and just as good if not better. We usaully sit at the sushi bar and chat with the friendly chefs and the other regulars. The sushi chefs are always great at suggesting something new like thier occasional amberjack titaki. I had the pleasure of dining at this sushi bar a few days ago. The atmoshphere is wonderful, the sushi is fresh and delicious. My favorite part of the whole resturant is when the sushi floats by you on little boats, through a water trough. more
