Surplus City

This is a two building store, one building have hardware; one building art and craft. On the hardware side, it has every nails, skews, nut, bolt, pipes, joints, file, and spar parts imaginable. Even stuff you never thought existed it is there. They inventory is fill with stuff that other builder didn’t use after they are done with they jobs, or old parts they people no longer need. Of course they also have new stuff. If you are a builder or metal artist looking for some spar parts, used cheap stuff, stuff you never seen go to surplus city. Every time I go there I have to buy something. Last time it was a ball bearings the size of a baseball. It is like a candy store to me. If you like home improvement or artist look for inspiration, you just can’t help yourself but touch everything in the store. Everything you see is like ooo I can use that, ooo I’ve never seen that before, I want that. Even stuff you have no idea what it is. The art and craft side is just like jo-anns. Fabric, flora, cushions, etc, etc. Just like the other side it has both use and new stuff. I myself don’t usually go there but don’t let that stop you. more

Surplus City has one building for tools and hardware and one for crafts and fabrice, divided by their gravel parking lot. Both can be kind of dirty, especially the former. I frequent the latter much more and must say that you can not beat the prices they have on their ribbon and lace by the yard. Not everything they have is such a great price, but if that's what you are looking for it's definately worht the trip. more

This is actually two stores in two separate buildings. Often dubbed “the women’s side and the men’s side” because of contents make no mistake…both sides offer items of interest to both sexes. The tool building has hardware, tools, screws, bolts, wheels, handles etc. It has chains, cords, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies and that just scratches the surface! The fabric building has craft items, bolts of carpeting, material, ribbons, and lace. Patterns, threads and hobby items are also found here. This is a great place to look for hard to find items and there are a lot of good prices. However, there are some items especially in the fabric building where the prices seem inflated for a surplus store. Other then that, surplus city is great! more
