sat down waited for a bit till they brought salads. then asked for the meats we wanted. waited. got 3 little servings of meat. cooked them. ate. waited for another bowl. they take forever to refill bowl and cost to much for not good quality food. dont bother with this place more

So me and my friends went here wanting some good korean bbq food. We sit down and start to cook our own food and get pestered by staff who come over and grab tongs out our hands and start to push meat around for us to get a good tip. they did not speak good english. the quality of food was not worth the 25 per person price. after we finish 1 bowl they take forever to bring another. we were there till closing b/c we werent getting full b/c of wait time and us all being 17-18 yr old boy teenagers. DO NOT GO HERE OVERPRICED BAD STAFF SH1T QUALITY FOOD more

I thank God for not visiting hospital after having a lunch in Surajang korean bbq. It was the worst quality of meat and service that I had in my life. more

I went to Surajung today with my boyfriend and his Mom and I can't help but feel really cheated and taken advantage of. They wanted to get the all you can eat bbq which was fine except that I am vegan. We were told that everyone had to get the all you can eat and I told our server I was vegan but he made no attempts to offer more or any vegetables. Of course, I was probably in the wrong to even step foot in a place with no vegan options so I ate the salad but they refused to fill the bowl of salad until the plate of meat was finished and brought the salad with a new plate filled with meats. They would not refill the little dishes of vegetables and when we asked for more rice they informed us that it would cost an additional $1.99. Basically, they totally ripped us off. They knew that charging me for an all you can eat was robbery but if I hadn't paid I would denying a meal for my boyfriend and his mom. It just did not seem fair. I felt that the needs of the restaurant profit was more important than making sure I enjoyed my time at Surajung. They make the diner feel limited and alienated by restricted menu rules. I understand that they do this because they don't want people to pull a fast one one them but honestly if I had an official ""I am vegan"" badge I would have worn it. They did have vegetarian menu options on the actual menu but I was forbidden to order them because of the everyone must eat all you can eat or else rule. I am sure I could have ordered my vegetable item off the main menu but they would have charged me on top of the all you can eat fee. It's a beautiful restaurant but it is definitely a huge trap just to get you in the place. I mean, if you want to go to a place with absolutely no options and unfriendly service this is your place. I just can't believe how difficult it is for a place to come up with a plate of vegetables. They made me feel very unwelcomed and as if I was inconveniencing them. I am very saddened by my experience today and really feel that the people of Surajung have no experience with guest service and show a great sense of frugality. Amazingly enough this was my third time at Surajung. They need to learn to accommodate and anticipate guests needs and keep in mind and respect peoples dietary allergies, needs, and choices. They are not flexible and are unable to come up with something for those who have special dietary needs. Either because they are too cheap to do so or lack the culinary expertise to be able to accomplish it. went to surajung with visiting relatives and family friends, a party of about 12. plenty of space and nicely set up interior. servers were friendly and quick to bring us whatever we needed. if you're into korean bbq, you get everything you expect and could want. you get all the korean side dishes and good bbq meats. no need to drive out to koreatown when you want some korean bbq.
