Recently I went to Grants Pass, Oregon to visit family and stayed in the Super 8 for 3 nights. The Super 8 is on 7th Street and conveniently located close to a Sizzler and Burger King.
Our stay at the Super 8 was okay. The room was clean with clean sheets, pillow cases and blankets, plenty of clean towels, and plenty of soaps. The room was air conditioned which was great and much needed in Grants Pass! The room we stayed in had two queen sized beds, a mini refrigerator, a tv, 2 small tables, and a bathroom with a shower/bathtub. We were told that there would be a coffee maker as well in the room but found that there wasn't. However, they do have coffee available in the lobby 24 hours, so this wasn't really an issue.
A couple of things I didn't find so great about this motel:
The motel was supposed to have a continental breakfast each morning with muffins, fresh fruit, bagels, etc but which only had muffins available every morning.
The room was supposed to be cleaned every day but wasn't. After our first night there the room had only had it's trash removed but nothing had actually been cleaned. It wasn't until the next day that the bathroom was cleaned and the floor vacuumed. I have two small kids that tend to get crumbs all over the place so it would have been nice to have the room vacuumed after that first night.
The motel has a pool and we took my girls down to it. Of course they had a blast. After drying off in the room though, we found that both of my girls had skin irritations, and my mom and I had felt like we inhaled a bottle of bleach. There was way too much chlorine in that pool.
Overall though it was a good experience. About what you would expect from a Super 8 motel. If I had the choice, I probably wouldn't jump on the chance of staying there again(all the other motels in town didn't have any vacancies) but I also wouldn't be upset if I had to.
