I live in Los Angeles, but had spent 6 weeks working in Portland. My husband drove our Audi A3 up north so that we could take a long, meandering road trip back to L.A. along the coast and through the forests. Upon his arrival, he said that the car was losing force and felt ""funny."" I took it out, and he was absolutely right. We needed to leave the very next morning, otherwise we wouldn't have the extra time we needed to take the long way. Not knowing where to go, I took my car to Sunset Imports and was blown away by the heroic measures they took to get me out the same day. Though they knew that I would not be a returning customer for service or sales, and therefore didn't need to ""invest"" in cultivating a long-term relationship with me, they treated me like their favorite customer. In the end, they shoehorned my service into their busy schedule (without pointing out that they were doing me a favor) and did the research necessary to ensure that I didn't have to pay for the part. They even pointed out a few minor issues I should take up with my local Audi dealer. I don't know what kind of service people in Oregon are used to, but personally speaking, I wish I could transfer the employees and attitude of Sunset Imports to L.A. Thanks guys!
