Best

This was a very helpful experience where all were nurturing and understanding Staff.. The Doctor saw you every day and helped with any problem! I would advise all that need help...

Worst

I cannot comment on inpatient but the Intensive Outpatient Program was very helpful for my depression and anxiety. The staff were educated and caring, they worked with my schedule...

Garbage can full up all day until housekeeping comes in the morning to empty it what kind of a facility does that. The floors are dirty and the bathrooms. don't send your family member there more

4 times, EXCELLENT experience! 10/26/2013

WOW! Amazing that there are so many negative reviews! I am not discrediting anybody's reviews, I can't. But keep in mind also, that sometimes the whole place can take the heat for one employee who "bs'd" their way thru the interview and landed the job. Whatever it is, I have chosen to return there 4 times, and it is a 4 hour drive for me, but it was for a reason. I still keep in touch with many people from my visits (still doing well, at that) and they had no problem with it. I found that the people who did have a problem with it usually came in with a terrible attitude and didn't want to be there at all and were looking for any excuse to leave. Let's be honest nobody is thrilled to be at these types of places.. I mean, I don't know any other adult in a facility who is thrilled to follow rules & guidelines while going thru the mental and physical withdrawal of drugs. I have been to 13 detox's and a few other rehabs, for which I'm not proud, of course...but this one stands out as "remarkable" ..no pun intended ;) - This place had the most comfortable detox protocol that I've ever experienced, as well as some incredible staff members who truly do care and take time to talk to you. They offer tremendous help if you accept it. Ryan, a tech, even printed off some info for me on his personal time at home and brought it in for me the next day. Staff would go out of their way and make time to talk to me if I needed it, as well as the doctor. Every single place whether it be a hospital or a business office, is going to have staff members who don't want to be there and who should not be there - I've seen it as well in treatment facilities. It's not justifiable, but it is reality . For me, I would highly recommend this place for a safe and closely monitored detox compared to many others that I've been in various states and locations. I promise you that if you go to almost any other facility you will run into the exact.same.issues. Been there, done that, heard that. Whatever you decide, may God bless you with your decision! more

hate 8/2/2013

Unsympathetic, unprofessional and cold hearted. Please don't take a love one there! Never pick up phone or call back. When you want to put in a complaint they give you the round around and protect themselves from letting superiors finding out. Once you finally get one they give you a lot of jargon and nothing is done about it. plus it is filthy! I wouldn't even give them one star but there is no -----star! more

Run for your life and make sure your insurance knows! 7/22/2013

This place is totally abusive and neglectful to their patients. They need to be shut down! If you read this PLEASE complain to your insurance carrier. They said if enough people complain they will drop this hospital. The problem is everyone complains online and not to them so they have no way of knowing the situation. If you have a loved one in there get them transferred out ASAP! more

Horrified 12/30/2012

I went to visit a friend today and was horrified. I cannot believe this is allowed to go on more

Terrible 10/25/2012

I wouldn't give it one star, but the site doesn't give an option. I picked my daughter up yesterday after 8 days in detox to transfer her to another facility for rehab and she was in worse shape than when she arrived. The new facility said they have never seen anyone so bad after detox. more

Understaffed & uncaring 10/5/2012

Unfortunately there are more uncaring staff there then caring. The caring ones, top notch...but 2 or 3 people are not enough. It seems the staff are doing a job they don't really care about; it is close to impossible to get someone on the phone despite their brochure 'we are always here to talk to you;' and the majority of the nursing and aide staff on the units are rude and could care less about the patients (or their families). Be very wary before putting a family member here. It's a shame because what could be a top notch place seems to be hanging on by a thread (check out the help wanted page for them if you have doubts!). more

Very Poor Communication from Staff Could Hamper Patient Care! 5/19/2012

Warning - If you ever have a loved one enter this hospital beware that the staff seem more concerned about your money than your family member and they are very poor at communicating with family members as to the status of their loved ones as they may never make return calls so do not expect them, plus the front desk says that you need an appointment but once again you need a return call from staff which is like low taxes in NJ, not going to happen! You would do better to start with Overlook Hospital and seek their advice rather than admit your family member to Summit Oaks Hospital, spread the word! more

terrible terrible!!! 9/23/2011

Good: NOTHING. Bad: EVERYTHING. Improvements: CLOSE IT. Other: They let their patience's go to quickly, more concerned about ins coverage and money! don't ever let a loved one go there!!! Sickening!!. more
