WOW! Amazing that there are so many negative reviews! I am not discrediting anybody's reviews, I can't. But keep in mind also, that sometimes the whole place can take the heat for one employee who "bs'd" their way thru the interview and landed the job. Whatever it is, I have chosen to return there 4 times, and it is a 4 hour drive for me, but it was for a reason. I still keep in touch with many people from my visits (still doing well, at that) and they had no problem with it. I found that the people who did have a problem with it usually came in with a terrible attitude and didn't want to be there at all and were looking for any excuse to leave. Let's be honest nobody is thrilled to be at these types of places.. I mean, I don't know any other adult in a facility who is thrilled to follow rules & guidelines while going thru the mental and physical withdrawal of drugs. I have been to 13 detox's and a few other rehabs, for which I'm not proud, of course...but this one stands out as "remarkable" ..no pun intended ;) - This place had the most comfortable detox protocol that I've ever experienced, as well as some incredible staff members who truly do care and take time to talk to you. They offer tremendous help if you accept it. Ryan, a tech, even printed off some info for me on his personal time at home and brought it in for me the next day. Staff would go out of their way and make time to talk to me if I needed it, as well as the doctor. Every single place whether it be a hospital or a business office, is going to have staff members who don't want to be there and who should not be there - I've seen it as well in treatment facilities. It's not justifiable, but it is reality . For me, I would highly recommend this place for a safe and closely monitored detox compared to many others that I've been in various states and locations. I promise you that if you go to almost any other facility you will run into the exact.same.issues. Been there, done that, heard that. Whatever you decide, may God bless you with your decision!
