I hate this place. It doesn't even deserve a star. 2/28/2013

I have an appt scheduled for 5pm. I am still in the waiting room and it is exactly 6 50pm. I will be with the doctor for 5 minutes when I finally get back there. The front office girl doesn't care about anyone and takes her sweet time doing nothing. I also had to wait 2+ weeks for the doctor to respond to cvs to get my new meds. I had to make so many phone calls and was told something different every single time. Cvs said they had a different prescription called in by dr. Chua but then when I called their office they had said nobody called in that medication. I called again and again and then I was told that they did call in said medication. How hard is it to run a freaking tiny office in humboldt park? I am beyond furious. more

Unsatisfactory quality patient care 4/3/2010

Good: I liked that the facility was convenient for getting a colonoscopy. It was clean and neat in the office and the facility was nice.. Bad: 1) Front desk girl- Mexican/Spanish girl with long hair that is wavy. Every time I go in that office she has attitude with me. Im just a sick patient who wants to make sure billing is done right. She messed up on billing she told me by copay was over 4000 dollars! I think Ive researched my insurance well enough to know that is not right. Second time she wanted to charge me a copay for the visit when there is no copay! 2)Doc spends 5-10 minutes with me. I dont feel like a patient- I feel like a number.. Improvements: 1)I want an apology from that front desk girl. When I told her the copay was not right she said to me "Im not going to sit here and argue with you. If you dont want to pay it thats fine but if it ends up that you need to pay we will bill you". How is that providing good service? 2)Doc told me all the care I have recieved prior to seeing him was all useless and suggestions about my diet are all bogus. I asked him the mechanism of the drug he was precribing me and he told me to look it up online.. Other: I had high hopes for this doctor. My mom respects him a lot and I have no doubt he will help me but to be honest as a patient, a human being I dont feel like I was treated well. It is not hard to have a little compassion for patients, especially when they are sick. It is not hard to spend more than 5 minutes with them and answer questions. Additionally- the girl at the front desk needs to change her attitude...being rude and unhappy towards people wont get her very far in life..... more

Terrible service to patients! 6/10/2009

I beg to differ. Patients have to wait forever (like 2+ hours) eventhough they have appointments. Asked what the delay is, and the staff members were very rude. They said the doc does procedures in the office, while other patients with appointments are left wondering what the delay is. I've heard of some patients taking a day off, just to go to his office for an appointment. more

Reliable and knowledgable doctor 7/21/2005

My parents and grandparents have been going to Dr. David Chua for over 15 years. He genuinely cares about his patients and listens to their concerns. He provides excellent care and is extremely knowledgable in his field. He has been our family doctor, but he specializes in digestive and liver problems. He is part of the PPO network. more
