Suburban Fence should change its name to Michaelangelo Fence.

I was thinking of getting a dog for my daughter and wanted to fence the future little puppy in the backyard so he wouldn't get into trouble when out playing.

Joe Olla, the Fence Whisperer! When a neighbor's fence popped up on our property last month, without our permission, things got tense. Long story short, the unauthorized fence came down and we called Joe to explain the situation and ask if he was willing to work for us. He had installed a fence at the back of our property a few years back that we were very happy with and, he has since installed other beautiful, high quality fences in our immediate neighborhood. Joe promptly came over to give us a quote and a starting date for our project. Thanks, Joe, for helping us out in a difficult situation by building a beautiful, quality, good-neighbor fence in a timely manner. I love my fence -- thanks Joe! 11/17/2010

I can't thank Joe enough for the great job he and his crew did installing my custom cedar fence. I had a lot of questions and Joe took the time to answer them all. My backyard presented a number of challenges in terms of the lay of the land and Joe offered me suggestions and alternatives to help me pick out a design that would compliment my home and yard and make the fence look like it was meant to be there. The result is a beautiful fence, a custom designed gate, and hardware that really sets everything off. My neighbors have let me know how good the fence looks and that made me feel even better about my choice. I would recommend Suburban Fence to anyone who is looking for a quality product, an owner who takes pride in his work, and one who delivers a great end result. Thanks Joe. more

Best Fence Company in Milwaukee 6/25/2010

We had a wonderful experience with Suburban Fence and Joe Olla. Joe was very patient and helped us with the design work, we chose a beautiful lattice topped privacy fence. The quality of the fence was superb, it has held up quite well. When we did an addition to the house, joe was there to take down a portion of the fence and returned to refit the fence to the new configuration...great customer service!! Great Job Suburban Fence 6/20/2010

Joe Olla of Suburban Fence has completed numerous jobs for family, friends and customers. The latest fence was installed at a family members home of whom has gone out of his way to show off not only his newest wood fence but the decorative aluminum fence put in 6 years ago. Joe Olla and Suburban Fence are what all fence companies should strive to be...quality backed by integrity. I know Joe personally and professionally and would recommend his company for any fencing needs. He works closely with his customers on the design, keeps them informed of the progress and stands by his product upon completion. Joe and his team have installed 5 fences on our street and and my neighbors have nothing but praise for the work Suburban Fence has done for them. Highly recommended. Milwaukee's Best Fence Company 6/19/2010

My experience with Suburban Fence was 100% positive.I have owned a few homes over the years in the Northshore and hired different fencing contractors. In comparison, Suburban Fence is superior. Joe Olla was very personable and whenever I had a question he was available. The outcome of the fence was phenomenal and it withstood the harsh winter. Poor construction, terrible customer service. 1/3/2008

Suburban Fence does NOT live up to its motto of "superior quality & craftsmanship". Suburban Fence installed a fence for me with two gates - fence is approximately 6 months old. As would be expected, the fence has settled some. This settling was not taken into account by Suburban Fence because now one gate must be lifted up in order for the latch to work. Suburban Fence has not responded to my requests for repair on this gate. The latch on the other gate was attached by bolts that stripped the wood and would no longer hold. Suburban Fence tightened bolts once. Same stripping happened again. Suburban Fence stated that the install was fine and that all damage was due to my misuse. Asking Suburban Fence to repair the damage so that it would not occur again, I was told that the only thing Suburban Fence would do is reinstall the stripped bolts (which I didn't want done because it wouldn't solve the problem) or would replace the gate at MY expense. I tied the gate closed, so my dog wouldn't get lost. During a windy night, the entire gate blew off - splintering the posts as the hinges were torn out by the wind. It seems to me that a gate should be able to withstand the elements. I now have to have the posts and gates repaired at my expense. Suburban Fence does NOT live up to its motto of Superior Quality and Craftmanship. Cons: Poor quality and service. more
