1st pizza was excellent. 2 pizza was very dry, no sauce! Called to speak with a manager to let the establishment about this issue. Spoke to the owner Jeremy."" Quote"" nothing I can do about it. You picked it up an hour ago. Horrible attitude, rudeness, didn't care. Didn't offer to make the customer a new pizza. WE WILL NO LONGER give business to Jeremy for his lack of customer service. HE simply doesn't care. GO to Anthony's Pizza. Best in town! more

!!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!! I ordered pizza and wings to be delivered to my house. Five minutes later they called me back and told me that they were out of wings. I said ""that's fine"", I will still take the pizza. The delivery guy gets to my house with the pizza and hands me the receipt to sign and they charged me for the wings as well. I said I am not paying for the wings and they said ""It's okay. they have made a note on your account and they will be free the next time you order."" I thought it was shady to begin with but I went with it. Went to go get my wings today and of course there is no note on my account and staff and management refused to rectify the situation. I would not order anything from this restaurant or let them swindle you out of your hard-earned money. !!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!! more

Heres a tip ,accept separate checks!! I went in to arrange a birthday party for upwards of 55 people ,I needed separate checkss in the reserved area .The manager or whatever she was said ""thats usually a dealbreaker"" meaning no separate checks. Is Stumpys THAT successful that they can afford turning down that kind of business on a Thursday night no less? Been in there twice and empty both times. more

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! The manager/owner is JEREMY and he is a LIAR, UNPROFESSIONAL, and an incredibly RUDE individual. We also complained and he told us that (and this is a quote)"...WE WORK OUR ASSES OFF HERE EVERY NIGHT, WHAT DO YOU WANT LADY...." and then he hung up on me. Worst Philly Sub Ever 8/27/2011

If you want to be insulted, speak with the manager there who claimed to personally make two 12" loaded Philly subs. I know the difference between cooked fat and gristle. When I called to report the disgusting gristle to Stumpy's, the pompus manager claimed he chopped the steak used to make the subs and that there was no gristle and hung up on me. Not only have I saved the gristle but wish to let the owner know that due to the complete lack of customer service and acknowledgement to my complaint, I will no longer eat from Stumpy's again. Cutbacks are one thing but the possibility of broken teeth is another! more

My favorite pizza 5/1/2011

I wanted to leave a nice review for Stumpy's because I felt I needed to for their years of great service to me and more importantly, my family. I brought friends and family there for my daughters birthday last weekend. I brought a cake and presents with me. Jeremy, the owner noticed a party and asked what was going on. I told him it was my daughter Sara's B-day, and this is where she wanted to go. He then took our order (2 pizzas and soda for 8) smiled at my daughter, and wished her a happy birthday and walked away to help the kitchen make the pizzas. He walked away from the register where I was left standing with credit card in hand. HE WOULDN'T CHARGE ME! Now I have been a loyal customer for three years on every Friday night, but I was not expecting that! My daughter Sara felt so speacial when I told her that Stumpy's provided her birthday dinner! I am a customer for life! more

Owner must not care about service as evident in his or her employees. Ordered a pizza at 6pm for delivery. I live less than 2 miles for the record. No pizza at 7 pm. Called for status and they told me my order was never recorded. - have the damn phone record...They place a rush on the delivery and deliver by 7 more

Worst pizza place experience 1/9/2010

We ordered 2 pizzas. They called us back and said they were out of chicken. Since chicken is the only meat we eat, we went vegetarian and one of the pizzas was a margarita pizza. When they were delivered, there was barely any toppings on either pizza, but the margarita pizza was only tomatoes! We called and they said they were out of basil. We asked why they didn't call us to tell us that, so we could change our order again, and they argued with us that basil is only a garnish and not a topping, so it didn't matter. For compensation, offered us less than a coupon does for our next pizza! Next pizza? Yeah, right. Pros: they put out coupons Cons: horrible customer service; not good pizza more

Really great pizza with quality ingrediants.Just the right amount of grease running down your wrist. There are few places that get it right on sauce, cheese and the crust, but these guys get it on all three. Pros: Just a great pizza Cons: NONE more

Pizza is Okay- We Go for the Garlic Knots! 6/10/2009

Stumpy's is a typical pizza place, with no fancy concept or design. The inside has very minimal seating and a bunch of highschool kids as employees (which isn't bad, but don't expect 5 star dining here), so it's best to just grab a pie and go. The pizza is just okay in my opinion (I like Anthony's better!) but their garlic knots are phenomenal! My husband and I love them. We can eat a whole order of garlic knots between ourselves, which is awful because they're dripping in butter and garlic but they are just so darn GOOD! The cinnamon knots are great, too. As long as they keep those two items on the menu, we'll put up with the pizza! Pros: Garlic knots, garlic knots, and oh yes- the garlic knots! Cons: Pizza is just okay, service is spotty more

Best Pizza in Colorado 4/7/2008

Clearly the best pizza in Colorado. I come from North Jersey where Pizza competitions are frequent and the pizza is arguably the best in the world. For my first 5-10 years here in Colorado, I was disappointed every time I ordered a pizza... either too much sauce, too doughy, crappy ingredients, or unedible crust. But when STUMPY's came to my rescue, I found delicious Pizza that would seriously rival my favorites from New York and New Jersey. I am pretty sure Stumpy's uses Semolina instead of flour on the bottom of the pies (I LOVE that). The ratio of cheese to toppings and sauce is perfect, and the meatball toppings are actually chopped up MEATBALLS! And they're Friggin Delicious! I order a Stumpy's Meatball and Onion pie when I have a Meat Craving. That's how substantial the meat and sausage toppings are. The veggies are fresh cut too. Great NY style pizza. Their italian sausage is wonderful, nice and spicy. The location leaves something to be desired, but the pizza more than makes up for that. more

Very authenic NY Pizza. I wish we didn't have to travel to Castle Rock to get it. Hope they open a location in the Denver area. Great work guys, keep it up. Pros: They make everything fresh each day and you can taste the difference. Cons: Located 20 miles south of Denver in Castle Rock. more

Good pizza, good price 7/26/2006

We get take-out pizza from here often. It is really good and a great price. The toppings taste really good, they use a good amount of sauce and enough cheese that you don't have to order extra. I haven't tried anything else off the menu so I don't know how it would be but I would expect good. The store is fairly busy so I don't know how nice it would be to eat there, I never have but the staff is very friendly. PROS: Good pizza, good price CONS: Don't forget your coupon or they won't honor it more

Unbelievable Pizza 8/17/2004

These people make everything from scratch and use stone ovens rather than conveyors. Its so refreshing to not get assembly line pizza. You can taste the difference. Its like going back to NY. This is really great pizza. Pros: Real Pizza more
