One of the biggest problems with the Utah dining is the dearth of great late-night eateries. There would be many eveningsespecially on Sundayswhere my wife and I would be thinking, ""so where the #&$!$* can we go out to eat?""
The answer: Stoneground.
We came in late Tuesday evening; its the summer semester and there were only a handful of patrons so it was surprisingly quiet. Our waitressTanyawas nothing short of excellent. I had the soup of the day (er, night) : a great-tasting, make-you-sweat spicy gazpacho, adorned with 3 perfectly-grilled shrimp and an edible flower. I had to look around to remind myself this was a pizza restaurant! We ordered two: a Hawaiianwhich had a slightly-soupy sauce. For vegetarians, try out the Vegetarian Pleasure: a garlicky pizza with a pesto-base, smoked mozzarella, red onions, green peppers and olives.
Pros: great value, next to Trax
Cons: dark parking lot
