Left without service 7/22/2011

Good: variety of pets. Bad: I kept waiting for someone to help me as I was interested in a puppy. The people you see playing with the dogs are a few regulars and friends of the employers. By her own admission a lady said she never buys but when i asked if i could meet with the dog i wanted i was told there was no space . some teens where playign and were friends of the sales girl. A guy finally got me the price of the dog and flew by me and said 1100. adn kept walking, made me wait even more without even asking if i wanted the dog.. Improvements: better customer service. Other: I was willing to buy a 1100$ dog but no one had time to take care of me so i left. they were busy socializing with friends and regulars. I am glad though, i called a rescue group and got a beautifull healthy puppy.. more

Got a great dog from Steve's 5/4/2011

First off i like steves pets the kids can come in and play with the dogs. all the puppys get lots of socialization along with the other animals. I bought a shiba inu there and she is a wonderful dog. more

there are not many full line pet stores left that have lots of live animals. Steve's Pets has great pets and my kids love to go in and play with them. more

What a neat place 4/27/2011

The store does not sell baby Chickens!!! It rents them out around easter time (To Save Unwanted Rabbits) and then has them returned after easter. The chicks are then donated to area farms where they are used as laying chickens. So they are not used as meat chickens. more

This place is very close to my house, and becaus ei have many pets, it's very helpful. Pretty knowledgable staff, and wide variety of products. PRices are slightly higher than other petstores, but I'm typically very happy shopping at Steve's more

Unusually service oriented: The owner of Steve's Wonderful World of Pets is actually a guy named Steve, who happens to be very friendly... ask for him if youare buying a dog. We bought a puppy from them and they have been beyond helpful. more

Love this store 3/21/2011

First time to Steves over 3 years ago. loved it then and now. They have this one big bird that is so friendly and they will let you pet it and he loves to be swung upside down. I take the whole family just to see the bird, and we always find something we need for one of our pets. We have gotten hamsters gerbils fish and birds from there all good quality. The toys for the pets they have are very reasonably priced (im cheap) and i can buy descent stuff there. Stop in and see what the have and you will want to keep coming back to play with all there pets. more

I'll Be Back 3/9/2011

I was surprised by the neg. comments left by some. I've bought 2 dogs from Steve's & had wonderful service both times, even when they were busy & I had to wait a bit. Upon the first purchase, I was a newbie, & the salesperson coached me & gave me info that subsequently saved my puppy's life in an emergency situation. Their business practices were explained to me to calm my fear of puppy mills. The puppies were kept clean & care was taken for their safety while in a meet and greet. There was close supervision without intruding on the customer's ability to interact & there was no pressure to make a decision. They were very professional. I'll be back for my third fur baby. more
