Well after a customer calling me today and telling me about this I decided to put the facts on here. I am Anthony the manager of Stereo King Gresham. There was no problem with putting in the stereo at all there were other vehicles in front of her and we were really busy and I did tell her that I'd call her when it was done, but unfortunately was unable to call imediately due to the fact we were extremely busy and I was helping other customers. By the way, Lanene said it doesn't matter on time, you can have it for the rest of the day and she didn't have any plans that day. Lanene called me and told me that the deck didn't work with the phone at all and I was very surprised, because the company rep said it would work. I told Lanene to come back and that I would gladly take care of it for her no matter what it takes!!! When she came in I tried to verify her problem and she was wrong, the deck did work with her iphone. You could search by artist, album...etc and it even muted the stereo as soon as she got a phone call and even showed all the text on the display of the stereo. The only thing it wouldn't do was charge the phone. So then I offered to GIVE (NOT SELL) her a $40 power adapter which plugged directly into the cable end that was existing, which required no additional wires, and she said she didn't want it. After getting ahold of tech support for the company, they said in 2 weeks they would have a new cable that would work with it for charging and I offered to again give her the cable for FREE and INSTALL IT FREE AS WELL!!! She said yes that would be awesome and greatly appreciated and was completely satisfied!! She then wanted to try a Kenwood stereo that Outrageous said would work w/out a problem for her phone. I said sure and we would swap stereos for no additional labor if she liked it as well. I powered the stereo on the bench and GUESS WHAT Outrageous was WRONG IT DIDN'T WORK!!! She then asked me what brand of stereo she had and I told her it was a Alpine and then she said ""oh I thought it was a Clarion, I really like Alpine that makes me alot happier cuz I thought it was a Clarion, yeah I'll wait for the plug for charging just call me when it arrives"" I then told Lanene no problem I'll call you as soon as I get it and give it to her and install it for FREE just to make her completely satisfied AND SHE AGREED TO THAT!!! A couple of days go by and she then proceeded to go to one of our other stores and said she didn't want the stereo she had bought and wanted to swap. The other store said no problem lets get you taken care of!! So they did swap the stereo for her as I offered to do,yet a different brand and she was happy again!! She then came back to my store, because she thought her faceplate had fingerprints on it so I swapped her no questions asked (of course it will have fingerprints on it). I guess to make a long story short after explaining myself you can't always please everyone all the time and some people are just unhappy people, but I do my best every time to please them, because w/out customers I am out of a job. Stereo King has been in buisness for nearly 30 years, so we must be doing someting right!!!
