Horrible 6/27/2019

0 stars. I regret buying a house from Stancil builders, 100%. I should’ve known better from the day that I walked through the new home with owner Freddie Stancil, and he stated the home and kitchen would be deep cleaned. On the day of closing, the house was still a mess. Dirt and sawdust all throughout the kitchen and countertops. more

Problems, problems, problems 5/2/2019

This builder Stencil and Bradley Build use to many subcontractors and the work is never the same in any of the houses, the problem is the work because I won't use craftsmanship because it is not, is always cheap and never finished properly because he will hire workers that don't know what they are doing because they work for nearly nothing. If he hired and paid the workers a decent amount maybe the homes would be built correctly. more

Do your homework on this builder 4/9/2019

Stancil/Bradley Built does not stand by their builds. They say they will and try to call them to get them out to rectify the problem, well you might as well wait for pigs to fly. There is always an excuse and it is a shame and just a sorry state of affairs that they will take your money and say fill out our list of problems and we will repair them. They also send in below average workers that do sub par work on your home. The lady that works there Wendy is very rude and not in the least professional. I wonder if she was in the same situation how things would work out. So low and behold do research on this company and don't believe the good reviews, those are only their family workers, who are real estate agents writing those ridiculous reviews. Good luck if you do own a Stancil/Bradley Built home and have problems now because you will be left with those problems. more

Not happy at all 3/23/2011

Very unhappy about our Stancil Built home. Many many many large issues and builder is not repairing bad items. Some contractors were replaced and we are left with only one solution, spend thousands of dollars on legal fees after we bought a new house to get this new house fixed. 4 months in this new house and this builder (Freddie Stancil himself) said to me was that they do not know how to fix the problems and that I should've been a builder. (Not too late, I just might do it for the sake of giving people an honest and quality option). Look up Stancil Builders feedback and see even Brenda Goldston leaves positive feedback...lol...she is Stancil Builders. I believe I was told she is Freddie's wife! One contractor told me that the problem is that they never get an educated customer like me (I am a contractor). Their super said, "Well, if you bought an $80k car, would you really expect it to last you forever?" I certainly would hope that it would last longer than this house seems to be...Now we are are 5 months into the house and I get a letter from their attorney telling me not to contact them. Every neighbor I talk to all has very similar issues. So where does this leave us? I can't even take a shower in my new bathroom. What did we pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for? Just so we can pay even more in attorney fees to fight to get the house in the condition it was promised to us in. This so called "bumper to bumper" warranty I was promised by Jay Locklear (their salesman, whose managing broker happens to be Stancil's daughter) is worthless and nothing is being done to correct these issues. Buyers...beware! more

If you want a quality built home this is the builder you want to use. Outstanding quality and outstanding service. When I get ready to build again I will certainly use Stancil Builders. I highly recommend more

Overall, good experience. Not all items on closing punch list we had were agreed to fix, but high priority issues were; we were pleased with that. Response of subs to issues we've had (flooring, electrical) has been VERY good...especially electrician! Only major issue we've found with house since closing and 1 year warranty expiration is a settling in the master bedroom causing severe "bounce" in the floor when you walk on it leading to vases, pictures, TV in cabinet in bedroom to shake/rattle with the slightest of steps...also, can feel areas where top of subfloor had large gouges not filled in; can feel holes under carpet/padding when walking barefoot in bedroom. Otherwise, good quality so far! more
