Bankruptcy is a very difficult decision for anybody. When you're a professional who works in the legal field, it's very difficult to see a lawyer, especially one who you might see in court sometime. So I chose Robert Weed because he only does bankruptcy. And I was very glad I did. Nobody in his office judged me. They made me feel very comfortable and this was just a chapter in my book that I will be able to close and move on to making my new chapters. The process was pretty easy. I had tax issues, so I'm still crossing my fingers that I the IRS discharged part of my back taxes. I finished my work with Kaitlin Vaillancourt, and she was great. She made the time to answer any questions I had and was very happy the way she handled my hearing. She was fully prepared, and my hearing was only about 5 minutes long. It made life so much easier in one of my most difficult times. more

All in all I was impressed with how thorough and professional, yet personable AJ is. She's an absolute delight to work with who loves her job and goes above and beyond to ensure client comfort and success. Mr. Weed also addressed some concerns through emails (the only face to face contact I had with him was at the initial consultation). I did have a few 'confusing moments' during this whole process which is why the total experience receives 4 out of 5 stars. * It wasn't ever made clear to me why I had to fill out a boatload of paperwork BEFORE I could have a consultation. Of course I know why now and I agree on why it's necessary. I just didn't initially understand why and had a tough time knowing how to fill it all out. * There was a question as to whether I would file alone or joint and during the consultation my spouse was informed that their credit would not be negatively affected if I filed alone. This did not turn out to be entirely correct. * The online videos need to be updated. Despite all that, my overall positive experience with this office was one that I'd gladly share. more

This experience was so great. Not the bankruptcy, as I had bulked for several years thinking I could fix things. But, at age 66, divorced, I knew I was not going to win the debt game, and when I came into Mr. Weed's office, I received nothing but smiles and such pleasant, professional assistance. I was at the end of my rope; none of the credit cards were getting paid down because of the high interest rates, and, since we were living week to week, we would use up the available credit for groceries and gas as soon as we made our monthly payment. I was desperate and knew I had to do something fast. I never made an appointment; instead, I just sent my husband to the Law Offices of Robert Weed here in Stafford, and he handed AJ the completed forms I found on his website to get started with bankruptcy proceedings. AJ welcomed us with open arms, and she was so personable throughout the whole experience. We met with Mr. Weed on a Saturday, and from that day on things have gotten 100% better in our lives.
