Thanks Sposabella!! 12/6/2010

I had the time of my life planning my wedding with Sposabella Bridal. They were so awesome, even when I had to change my venue 3 days before the wedding, they rehemed my dress so I could now get married on the beach. I did my bridesmaid dresses there, as well as, my flower girl, mom and my tuxedos. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks Sposabella Bridal for making my day perfect!! more

HORRIBLE, BRIDES BEWARE! 5/15/2010

BRIDES BEWARE! I ordered my dress the first week of January for my September wedding and was told I ordered ""in plenty of time"" because my dress would take almost six months to come in from Barcelona. I was told I would have it in my hands by the middle of June. The end of June rolls around and still, no dress. I called them a few times and they just seemed annoyed, telling me that it is running late and I will just need to wait... it might not be in until the end of July!!! I fell in love with this dress in a magazine and this shop was the only place that had it in all of New England so I drove 1 1/2 hr to get it. Now it was getting to the point where I had no idea when the dress would be in and when I would be able to fit in a 3 hr round-trip drive just months before my wedding, and I still had no idea when it would be in. The dress didn't actually come in until August and when it did it was too small!!! I am not a big girl. I wear a size 4 and even though I was told this dress runs true to street size I still ordered the 6 to be safe. I had been dieting and working out since ordering the dress so I don't understand how it was too small but it would not even zip up in the back! The owner told me it was fine, it was only about an inch. But I looked in the mirrors and saw that it wouldn't zip up after my hips and there was a 3-inch gap!!! I was freaking out thinking I needed to go buy a new dress a month before my wedding! I really think they ordered a smaller size. Luckily, I have an awesome seamstress who was able to take it out and it ended up fitting in time for the day but if my dress were here when I was told it would be, rather than almost 2 months late I wouldn't have dealt with all of this unnecessary stress. I basically was starving myself in the weeks leading up to my wedding because I was afraid the dress wouldn't fit. This was the worst experience in my wedding planning process!!!! Cons: EVERYTHING- see below more

spectacular service 3/24/2010

My mother bought her wedding dress from this shop two years ago, and I had my bridesmaid dress altered there. The service was amazing, and every need was met.The two women who own the store are so sweet and will make sure that you feel and look your best in what you're wearing, they have awesome insight and class, with a strong background in italian couture. I'm even going back tomorrow for alterations to my prom dress. ^_^ Pros: comfort, quality, amazing service more

Are you kidding me...they are great!!! 9/14/2009

I happened to be in the salon when you were there making threats to that bridal salon, and you really should be ashamed of yourself for saying such nasty things and threatening them. I saw your dress and heard you say what you paid for it and they gave you the same great service they give everyone. When she said they work on $5000 dresses, she meant that your dress was as important as any other dress, and I am sure they did not manhandle your dress. Sometimes dresses are made of poor quality material and that could be why you thought it was pulling, especially since you said as well that they did not alter that part of your dress. Perhaps you were bloated that day, who knows.\r \r I have had nothing but great service and excellent care with my dess and all of my bridesmaids. Pros: great service...honest care more

These people should be ashamed of themselves!! 8/20/2009

BRIDES BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\r I took my dress in for a few alterations. Should have known better when the owner (?) who pinned my dress was struggling doing it because she has one arm in a sling! I had the sides taken in, the cap sleeve made a little looser, and the hem brought up a tiny bit. She had me slip the cups in, but never checked to see if they were positioned right. That is her job right? To look at a dress and know what should be done, and to make sure everything is just how it should be?? Her job? Anyway, Went back a week later for a fitting. (This is a very simple informal wedding dress). It seemed ok, I was pretty much rushed through. I expected to take my dress home that day. But it was not ready, they had not steamed it and wanted to keep it another day. Ok fine. $135 later. Went back the next day and picked it up. Got it home and tried it on again. Only to find a 10 inch seem in the back that had not been sewn back shut. The cups were not even and the lace across the front had been stretched out and was pulling to one side. VERY NOTICABLE.\r I called and she seemed put off and told me to bring it back, but sounded like I was just a bother to her. Once I got there she told me they did not touch the seem and it must have been like that when I brought it in. I told them no, it was not. And even if it had been (which it was NOT) wouldnt they have noticed it and either fixed it or called me to ask if I wanted it fixed? Where is the attention to detail? I showed her the lace and I could see the ""uh-oh"" look on her face. But she insisted that was nothing they did. They did not touch that part. So she takes the dress out back and has the seem fixed, and says she'll steam it again. Comes back out, lace is still pulled off to the side. Now she has my dress dragging on the floor as she (one armed) struggles to try and iron the lace in the front down so it wont pull. HELLO??? Are you kidding me??? I put the dress on and I told her, clearly you can see the lace is pulled to the side. She sticks to her story and says they did not touch that to make alterations. Thus it is not their fault. I told her I understood that they did not touch it for alterations, but something was done to it while in their hands. She was totally offended and said how they handle everything perfectly and would never have done anything wrong. Clearly they did. SHe then says ""we sell $5,000 dresses here, we dont just toss things around"". It was at that moment I knew, that my classy, informal, simple dress was the least of her worries. Never once did she offer a sorry, or understanding of any kind. Never once did she seem to give one care in the world. After all, they already go their money!!! So why would they care! I was in total disbalief that she said to me ""we sell $5000 dresses here"" Shock. Total shock. She was beyond rude, and that comment was totally uncalled for. She knew she was wrong, and her only defense was to try and make herself sound better than me. I hope it worked for her, because I know better. And I will make sure that everyone else knows better. BIG BIG MISTAKE! They are rude, and make sure you hear what their policy is on how they handle these things. Basically they can turn your dress into a freakin lamp shade and there is NOTHING you can do about it. RUDE RUDE RUDE SNOBS. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!\r \r End of story, I took my dress the way it was, and told her that my dress means more to me than any $5000 dress ever could! I will be married lace pulled to the side and all. And it will be the most beautiful day of my life!\r \r My rating would be a negative if they allowed it! Pros: NOTHING Cons: The rudest snobbiest people I have ever dealt with more

Highly recommend!!! 11/29/2008

You do sound so unhappy, hope your wedding was better than that review. I have to say I had a superb experience. I just got married in November and I think you were at the wrong bridal shop. The place is very clean and organized. I also worked with the owner, and I had a wonderful time. Sometimes it is what you make of yourself. If you were unhappy with your gown choice, that could be a contributing factor. I loved my dress and my experience. My alterations were perfect too. donnagomes Pros: very clean, great open set-up, lots of gowns to choose from. Great staff!! more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! 11/23/2008

The worst experience EVER!!!!\r No bride should ever have to deal with a shop owner who is so scattered! The owner of the shop along with her employees did not pay attention to the details. She charged outragous prices for alterations that were never completed properly. As a result I had to take my dress to a real seamstress just to have a wedding dress that actually fit me. The cost of alterations where half of what the price of the dress was. This was the worst experience I have ever had; it was rediculous!!! I am schocked that this woman is still in business. Besides not performing the service she is in business to preform, her shop was sloppy, dirty, and unorganized. I would not recommend this shop to anyone EVER!!! BEWARE BRIDES!!! You would be better served buying a basic dress anywhere rather then wasting your time, efforts or money in this bridal shop. No bride deserves to be this mistreated preparing for the most exciting and happy day of her life!!! more

Best experience ever!!!!! 10/7/2008

I have to disagree with the last review. I just purchased my bridal gown and 11 maids dresses at the end of September and they were wonderful. I dealt with the owner and she is so sweet. I did overhear that they had an entire staff change the first week of September. The store was busy with brides and they were never rude or impolite. I had 6 of my bridesmaids with me and we had a lot of fun trying things on. The owner, Charlene helped me find the perfect dress of my dreams and found me an awesome dress for my girls.\r \r I would recommend them in a heartbeat. My mom also found a dress there last weekend and she had no problems either. Maybe the staff change was good for them. I had no complaints at all.\r \r They had plenty of parking, and lots of beautiful gowns to choose from.\r \r Samantha Pros: service, parking, friendly, helpful staff more

TERRIBLE 9/5/2008

I have only dealt with this horrid place twice and am APPALLED at how snobby and rude these women are. They act as if it is moving mountains to come in for measurments, or call to ask a question. So sorry for making you do your JOB! I should have learned my lesson the first time. Customer service here is terrible. I suggest to all the women who work here, if you truly hate your job this much, instead of taking it out on customers, perhaps you should look for a new line of work. RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE. Did I mention RUDE? I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. If I could give negative stars I would! more

Love Sposabella!!! 8/29/2007

I have to disagree. I had a wonderful experience at Sposabella Bridal and so did my 11 bridesmaids. Some girls I have to say are just never happy. So, I would refer them in a heartbeat!!! Pros: plenty of parking more

Unfriendly, horrible alterations 7/9/2007

Need I say more? ALL the bridesmaids in the wedding I was in had problems - none of them tried the dress after the alterations and before the wedding, but how would they know to? None of them had been in a wedding before and the shop didn't recommend it. When I showed up and actually asked to try mine on one last time, I was greeted with dirty looks and a shoddy job when it needed to be taken in more - at $45 additional! \r \r Busts that were too big, too small, torsos ill-fitted to the point that I had to have someone completely deconstruct my dress to make it not wrinkle at the stomach. And my skirt was too wide after she took in only the torso because she was angry at the last minute change. \r \r Ick. Pros: Parking (if bank next door is closed) Cons: Service more
