NOT WORTH IT! Two plus hours of wandering around and came home with nothing. The store is dirty and there's a lot of junk to dig through to find anything good--not that I would mind if I found a great deal. Prices on furniture and electronics seem good, but not the housewares and food. Many of the things I found were about the same price as what I'd seen it for at Costco, or more then I had at Walmart or Grocery Outlet. About half of the merchandise I picked up didn't have a price on it--you have to take it up front and then the clerk takes it to the manager. What a hassle. I took 8 salad plates up to get a price. 4 were Gibson and 4 were Corelle--plain, nothing fancy. I was thinking they were worth about a $1-1.50 a piece. I was quoted $2.40 a piece. Seriously??? That's what I'd expect to pay at Walmart or Target. I'm not usually one to make snide comments in public, but I told the clerk, ""Wow, for as much work as it is to shop here you really don't make it worth it!"" Then, I walked out. more

They obviously don't know how important customers are. I have shopped at Spokane Discount numerous times throughout the years and never had an issue, especially when using there e-mailed coupons. It was actually nice to bring them up on your smart phone and not have to worry about printing them or wasting paper. Recently, however, I went to Spokane Discount to buy some stuff that was on coupon via e-mail......IE spend money.... I live a distance from the Spokane Discount store so the trip costs gas, time and with three kids in tow, in the heat, patience. I spent sometime gathering the items I wished to purchase and then was told I had to print the coupons out before they would honor them. Now I admit I should have read the new fine print....but this was a recent change admitted by the cashier. I asked for the manager and they still refused to honor the coupons shown via my Iphone as I have always done without issue. They refused stating that's the way it is and policy. more

Nice Place 1/24/2012

I am new to Spokane. I was impressed with their T.V. prices most of all. But they had other things that were very nice for the price. People were friendly, but possibly not the most professional. They do get your questions answered and they have good prices. Now mind you there are other places out there that also have good prices, and ""Door Busters"" after Thanksgiving is always a great time to get the best deals. more

Should be called Spokane Rip-off 10/4/2011

Save your time and just go to Costco, or ANYWHERE else for that matter. Talk about bad costumer service. I was having a hard time finding a price on an item, so I asked an associate. The associate called over the radio for a price check. The manager, STEVE WACCO, a skinny as a tooth pick odd looking bald man with horrible oral hygiene came over, and with a nasaly annoying voice began to verbally bash the poor associate. He basically talked to the associate as if he was a 5 year old child, only making himself and his shotty store look even more run down and gross then what was thought upon first look. All of their inventory comes from Costco., and is bought by SPokane Discount because it is no longer up to Costcos store standards to sell anymore. Even though the products are usually broken or dont work anymore, they still try to sell it for FULL PRICE!? I saw a bottle of orange juice there that was over 2 years older than the sell date. Not only that, but there was scores of fruit flies flying in and out bags of open food and surounding the beverage aisle. HOw do they get away with things like this?? I feel sorry for anyone who works for that creepy bald man, Steve Wacco. Hes a tyrant and obviously has NO people skills whatsoever. Poor guy, probably has no friends or loved ones. Maybe if he spent a little more time on being a decent person and brushing those nasty teeth every once and a while he wouldnt have such a miserable life. The only reason I would recommend someone going into that dump is to hear that rat man that goes by Steve Waccos voice. You'll surely get a good laugh out of it. Then again, I wouldnt wish that upon my worse enemy. Anyone unfortunate enough to have to deal w this guy on a day to day basis, or even once a year, has my sympathy. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this rat nest. The creep who runs it and his methods on how he treats his employees is enough to have me never setting foot in that dump again. YUCK! more

I have never had an issue with the pricing. Most items are priced to be easily read. If things aren't priced, you can ask any of the employees, which I find always helpful and never rude or obnoxious, to help you. I've had employees go out of their way to help me. There are awesome prices, good deals, and brand name items! I love the clothing area the best. Plus they have a final close-out area for clothing. So just go there and find out for yourself! You won't be sorry! more

be prepared to be insulted 1/24/2010

Sure, it has great prices on all sorts of stuff from food and clothes to TVs, excercise equipment, furniture, cameras, just about everything. But there are a few things you should know before you go. 1) Note the discounts at the front door. 2) Watch for ""handcrafted"" signs, warning signs, etc. It's easy, especially if they are moving things around, to accidentally walk into their storage area, where a bearded man might come and yell at you for being so stupid. 3) Unclear pricing: there are usually more than one price tags on any item with variance in prices; when you find someone to help you with it, they might say ""oh, it can't be that inexpensive; I don't remeber putting that tag there; to be nice, I think that price must have flown over here."" 4) If you need help finding information, they will help you; but they are busy and you may have to look through product info on your own; if they opened the box for you to get the information, but then walk off; don't be surprised if a bearded man comes up and yells at you for opening the box and hurries you along. In conclusion, if you don't mind being insulted and treated like a possible criminal, you can find great deals, which you will enjoy. Pros: good prices, lots of stuff Cons: insulting employees, unclear pricing more
