Worst

I sent my camera to this place two weeks ago. It is now over 2 weeks and I get no return calls or email regarding what the status is. I wish I had seen these reviews here before...

I was a fortunate escapee from the clutches of this shyster. Was all friendly and full of great ideas till he got my money and camera - from Australia. Then nothing for months. I had to fight fire with fire and sent him a bogus email from another account saying that I was a school that had a quantity of cameras ready for conversion and that I was recommended - by myself of course. I soon received my camera back when he got a sniff of a big job. You will note that after every negative post - on many sites, he will always shuffle it back with positive posts from himself. Be warned, steer very clear. more

I had a superior experience with Spencer's Camera. I had a spot on my camera mirror (don't know hot it got there) and they cleaned it for me while I waited, and didn't charge anything! It's hard to find service like that these days! I would highly recommend them to anyone! more

Spencer's repaired my camera in lightenening fast time when the other local shop I normally use couldn't get it done for months. My camera sat at the other shop for 4 months with no phone call, email or any update of any kind. The initial guestimate from the other shop was $180. Spencer's had it back to me in 3 days and for $120. They even cleaned the camera (It needed it badly) at no extra charge. That's what I call great service. They performeed their job and went above and beyond by providing a little extra. I was referred to them by a few other friends and they all said Spencer's was great. They were right. I highly recommend Spencer's Camera. more

I had looked into many Infrared camera conversion companies and decided to use Spencer's. What a great decision! They are always pleasant to talk to and very helpful. The price is very reasonable and service is awesome. I have now had three cameras modified by Spencer's and am very happy with all of them. I have also had a few cameras repaired and cleaned by them and they were very price and time sensitive. I needed my gear back for a trip to europe and they had it all completed early. Can't say enough about their great service. Keep up the good work! more

Pleased customer! 8/8/2011

Exceptional quality and great service. I have had IR conversions performed by other companies and my cameras were not working properly when I received them back. A friend told me he found Spencer's while searching online so I gave them a try. Spencer's has performed 3 conversion for me now and all perform better than expected. I am a very pleased customer and refer all my friends and family to them for repairs and IR work. more

I wanted to send you the best picture yet that I made with my converted camera, you build in a amplified filter in my Olympus E-510 last year. Maybe the picture is good enough for your site, there were no adjustments made on the picture. It was taken in my hometown Venlo in Holland. I love the camera. more

Thank you very much for the repair service and IR conversion you performed on my Nikon D300. I now have my baby back in great working order. I am now a convert to IR photography as well. It was a very good decision to send my camera to you for the repair and IR conversion job. Also, thank you for the discount on the repair. It's wonderful that you provided a discount on the repair if ordering the IR conversion for the same camera. Many of my friends have older none working SLR's that will be coming your way for resurrection and conversion. more

It was a great experience working with you on my recent camera repair. Fast timely service is what you promised and that is exactly what you provided. I thought my camera was toast but you brought it back to life and cleaner than when I brought it to you. Also, the cost was far less than buying a new replacement camera. As times are tough these days it is good to know there are honest and reliable service providers out there. more

Just a short note to tell you thanks for the great IR conversion service. My Canon 5D Mark II you converted to infrared is better than I expected. The autofocus is sharp as a tack with all my lenses. The camera arrived back quickly, very clean and packaged safely. Your advice and tips have been very helpful. My recent trip to Africa was a great photographic success. Again thanks for the wonderful job. more

I have been shooting my new IR Canon 7D camera for a month that I purchased from you. Everything is just wonderful. I love shooting IR with the ease of no lens filters and no long exposures.
