My husband and I were looking for someplace nice for an early dinner on Saturday night. We wanted to try something new on the spur of the moment. I called about 5:30 and asked if we could be seated about 6 p.m. The girl who answered said there would be no problem if we came in.\r

When we arrived, we were seated immediately by a very friendly young lady, and our waiter who was also very nice came by our table within about 1 minute. I ordered a glass of wine from their extensive wine list and my husband had a cocktail. We received our drinks right away and portion wise they were adequate (the wine) to generous (the cocktail). While waiting for our appetizer, I looked around at the decor & ambience which I found very nice, and the two-person booths were quite comfortable. I had to laugh about the review of the person who complained that it was in a mall... I guess the point is, if you don't want to eat in a mall restaurant, don't go to a restaurant in a mall.\r

The antipasti platter was impressive and all the items were tasty. Our dinners were very good; I had the braised pork shoulder with potatoes and kale. The portion was huge (I had enough left over for lunch tomorrow), and delicious & well seasoned. Kind of like Italian carnitas. Simple food doesn't have to be complicated! \r

Finally, we shared a dessert, bread pudding with cherries and caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream...which was wonderful. \r

I would definitely go back. I thought the service was excellent, and the food was better than average to excellent. As I said, I must have been in a different restaurant than the people who complained about it.
Pros: Food and service were very good to excellent
Cons: You may not be able to get in...Redmond is so crowded nowdays.
