Don't return calls 7/13/2011

Unfortunately, had a similar experience to first poster. Tried to obtain date for a large Company Holiday-Christmas party in May and June 2011, many months ahead. After numerous phone calls where Arlene could not wait to get off the phone, she would promise to call back- and never did. This occured at least three or four times. E mails were sent and not answered. Finally we find out we are on the back burner until she can see if she can fill the room with another party that needs two rooms. We went elsewhere and won't be going back there. more

Unhappy 1/20/2011

I had dealings with Arlene at Spartan Manor regarding a ceremony date. She assured me we were "penciled in" and we awaited her response regarding some dietary issues. I was willing to leave a deposit and she said to wait. She contacted us with a voice mail, to which we responded via email on two occasions. Then finally she emailed back stating the date was taken. She then said she would get back the following day to work something out, and never called back. Beware of this place & if you are considering using them, put money down no matter what! Don't take their word for anything!! This way they won't screw you like they did us!! more

Excellent Family Run Business 1/23/2009

I had my wedding here after doing a TON of research on other places as well. I loved the staff who were super nice and they offered a TON of stuff for the price. We had the ceremony and reception there. We had a full 3 course meal, open bar, a cocktail hour with hoer oeuvre's and a delicious cake. I highly recommend this location. It's quite a lot of great quality for such a small price. (and all our guests loved it too!)Also - if you are worried about places to take photos since it is not that scenic there, literally 1/2 mile down the road is a gorgeous park with fountains and large trees and the pictures we took there are our favorites! more

Nice Place 12/2/2008

Nice place for parties. Been here for a few parties and I had my rehersal dinner there twenty years ago. The food is great, service is great. The decorations are also very nice. more

great place 11/2/2005

I went to a wedding here recently and was pleasantly surprised. the location is not the most scenice and it seems small from the outside, but inside it is beautiful and they have all sorts of sized rooms to choose from. the food was great as were the wait staff. PROS: great food and staff CONS: none more

AMBIENT, Lovely atmosphere 9/7/2005

The Sparton Manor is ideal for weddings. I LOVED the atmosphere, just enchanting, rich, like a fairy tale. The food, music setting is top of the line. The employee's are professional and warm. They also cater to all kinds of parties, celebrations, meetings, etc. It is truely a grand experience and one to be remembered for the rest of your life. I reccommend them to anyone looking for a fancy setting for a special event! PROS: Elegant setting, delicious food. CONS: May want to save up a bit to afford it. (But worth it!) more

A perfect wedding setting. 7/4/2005

I have been to several weddings and other functions, at this beautiful setting. There are several rooms to choose from. All are elegant and you can have the smallest of gatherings, to the wedding of the year. The staff will make this a perfect day for you and your family. I highly recommend it. They cater to every detail. PROS: Every room is beautiful. CONS: Possibly price. more
