This is a Great Small Mall 4/18/2006

This mall is terrific, especially when it is really quiet in the middle of the day. It has great dining options (Paparazzi, Bernard's Chinese, and not to mention the scrumptious chocolate covered bananas from the Fruit Dipper), plus some really good stores. There's a very good J Jill, Crate & Barrel, Sephora, Sur la Table (super for kitchen items), a Filenes/Macys, Origins, and others (mostly high end). One thing that is annoying is that Bloomingdales has a separate store down the street for their women's department (everything else is here). Everyone fights for the parking spaces in the small outdoor lot (unless weather calls for garage parking, but even then). The mall is very clean and enjoyable. The Stonewall Kitchen always has lots of samples (good to pop in if you're waiting for a table at Paparazzi). more

a nice little mall 4/7/2006

the chestnut hill mall is a really nice mall in newton, ma. or chestnut hill, ma. they have a wide variety of stores, mostly specialty stores like bloomingdales (men), barney's, coach, apple, banana republic, and victoria's secret. there are also a couple of nice restaurants like bernards, charlie's, papa razzi, and the chocolate dipper. it's a pretty quiet mall too, but it's really nice. i like to spend a few hours here on the weekends. more

too pricey, who can afford it! 8/7/2005

The Mall at Chestnut Hill is a ritzy little place that only has around 60 or so stores; small, by mall standards. It also boasts many "high-end" stores like Mont Blanc, Barneys, Cole Haan and Apple. You won't find kids running around everywhere here...they can't afford this mall! All in all though, it's a very snotty mall, and you can tell that people who work there have quite the attitude. Not cool at all. Skip across the street; the Atrium mall is also rather upscale...but they are much friendlier! more

  • In Short
The Mall at Chestnut Hill caters to urban professionals and kids with fat trust funds. Face Stores include the the lone Bloomingdale's in Massachusetts, a positively posh Barneys New York, and an iced-out Shreve, Crump & Lowe. There are also a cadre of chi-chi stores for home decorating and furnishing--Crate & Barrel (with home accessories), Wentworth Gallery, Domain, Scandia Down (luxury linens and comforters) and April Cornell.
