These guys are just about as good as they get. They have taken care of my many pets since 1986 and have been great the whole time. I highly recommend them. The doctors and the staff are the best. more

We have been using South Shores Pet Clinic for over 21 years. We now live in Torrance and dont mind making the drive when needed. I worked for Emergency Pet Clinic back in the 1980's and even back then, their clinic had an incredible reputation with the veterinarians with whom I worked. The doctors REALLY care about my (numberous) animals over the years and take as much time as I need in the exam rooms. I had a 7 year old Rottweiler that had an unusual bleeding problem in 1993 and neither doctors could figure out what was wrong with him. They sent my dogs blood to a Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Colorado, free of charge, and they were able to diagnose Von Willobrens(unknown spelling) disease. Thanks to this diagnosis, Dr. Steed was able to extend his life a year or so. I have never had a problem with the staff and compared to other veterinary hospitals in the Torrance area, they are VERY reasonable as far as fees go. Ive shopped around. People need to understand that medicines, x-ray more

I was referred here years ago and continue to take my pets here for vet services. Even though it is WELL out of my way, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, unneccesary treatments and/or tests are never recommended and they saved my dogs life more than once. I appreciate their kindness and understanding of the consumers monetary restrictions, oferring alternative plans for you. PROS: great staff; offer alternative options when $ is low CONS: out of the way more

We've been taking our pets here for a very long time and there aren't any major gripes at all. Good location and friendly staff. It's worth taking your pets to them. more
