been my vet 6/24/2014

Dr. Steed has been my vet for over twenty years and has saved the life of our six Bichion Frise time to time and come to them with angel who was pregnant. Dr. Steed said Angel is fine, but you're a nervous wreck, so I am like that. I highly recommend Dr. Steed. He would come in after and weekend for my babies. more

Hip Hip Hooray! 5/30/2014

Hip Hip Hooray! For a FIVE STAR VET! Dr. Mark J. Weimer is one of the two choices at South Shores Pet Clinic. Dr. Van Steed is the other choice. I must say I was a little hesitant to bring "my boy" Beau the Boxer to the clinic after reading numerous negative reviews regarding Dr. Steed. I was pleasantly surprised and releaved to find out the other vet Dr. Weimer is the shining star at this clinic. The front desk was helpful and friendly. Most importantly my boxer is skittish with vets but he LOVED Dr. Weimer. Beau gave the vet a big wet kiss when the Dr. was listening to his heart tones. Beau had dental work today, gum revisions and a biopsy and the CARE couldn't have been better. more

They are really great with my dogs! The staff is awesome and they are so caring! They actually care and really do feel for the animal if they are sick or even healthy. They make me even feel special to have my such wonderful dogs as my companions!\r Full of GREAT staff that are determine to help no matter the situation. :)\r more

I've had the dogs 5/13/2014

"I've had the dogs groomed there - well, just the 'lion' cut - I keep my cairn terrier cut very short so I have better control over his skin allergies. Everyone from the back is great with my dogs - they recognize them, call them by name (even when it's been awhile since my last visit), and my dogs like them. \r The front office folks are great as well - the ones who have been there for awhile always greet me by name and ask about my other pets if I only have one with me. The newer personnel have just the right degree of warm friendliness. \r Would I prefer to pay less? Of course! Would I change vets to a 'cheaper' one? Not on your life!" more

"I've been going to South Shores for about 12 years now. I have always found the Drs (both of them - Weimer and Steed) to be patient and understanding with my pets - and with ME as well! They have always taken the extra time needed to make sure I understand exactly what is going on and if I should be extra concerned. \r I read one review that talked about the cost - I can't deny that they're expensive - but I don't think that they're much more expensive than others in the area. We live in a high-priced world nowadays - and keep in mind that you get what you pay for!" more

"I've brought my animals to South Shores for the past 13 years and have found all of the employees and both vets to be caring and considerate. \r I did leave for nearly a year to visit a vet closer to my home, but returned to South Shores because of the treatment and knowledge. I can't imagine what happened with the others, but it is certainly not typical behavior in this office. \r I gave 5 stars - but this practice deserves 10!" more

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate all of you. I am absolutely broken hearted over the loss of "Daisy". This has been especially hard because "Katie" is still waiting for her to come home. It hurts so much to see "Katie" so lonely. But again I just wanted to thank all of you for being so kind. more
