Fantastic Atmosphere - GREAT Food 5/10/2009

We went to Soulard Coffee Garden for Mother's Day and it was wonderful. The breakfast food was great - I had Eggs Benedict which was fantastic - some of the best I've ever had - and my husband had the Biscuit and Gravy which was really tasty as well... (usually a toss up between great or terrible when ordering and it was definitely great at SCG). We had a wonderful casual brunch sipping mimosa's and enjoying food and coffee. It couldn't have been better unless we had been able to sit on the terrace or patio... which were full, unfortunately. Pros: Casual, Easy-Going Atmosphere, Great Food, Fair Pricing Cons: None really more

Amazing, busy on Sundays... 4/28/2008

The food was amazing! The special that day was cornmeal blueberry pancakes that knocked my socks off and the coffee was dark and thick. The only drawback was the wait for food, but it was also Sunday morning and the place was packed. It was worth the wait, for sure. A bit of Europe in StL 7/24/2002

Casual yet upscale, quiet little coffeehouse/restaurant. Full of character in an old Soulard neighborhood. Intimate decor; lounge-like area in an upstairs loft. Also outdoor seating. The sandwiches are made to order and are delicious; try the chicken pesto sandwich. Awesome fresh fruit salad. Very fresh ingredients. Constantly changing selection of fresh-baked pastries and sweets. Great place to meet for coffee and converse; food and coffee is worth paying for. It is too bad that it isn't open later into the night. Pros: coffee selection, Euro atmosphere, Fresh ingredients Cons: closes rather early more
