From the mooment I walked into the Westwood Equinox, the staff has always been attentive, helpful and curteous. It is a pleasure working out on their state-of-the art equip and looking forward to the pool being completed. I recommend this gym to those considering! more

I'm surprised to see the great difference between my Pasadena gym and this one. Though the facility is a bit more impressive, in terms of things being new, the atmosphere in this gym is ATROCIOUS. The staff is nothing more than a bunch of people who don't really want to be there, if you're not the next producer who is out to discover them and make them a star. The classes are so-so, the trainers seem to be good, although mostly bored with what they're doing. Perhaps they care more about their next audition, too. I want to like Equinox but the staff at the front desk is usually unfriendly. The kid's club is a joke unless you have children under 2. My five year olds were bored to tears and begged me never to take them there again. The only good thing was a spinning class on Saturday but they fired the teacher because he kicked out some rude people. Today, one of staff decided he was going to vacuum around the treadmill I was using. I was the only one using a treadmill but clearly he wanted to bother me . When I stopped to drink some water the guy asked me if I was done. I asked if he could go somewhere else but he ignored me. I went into Equinox expecting the usual treatment Ive received at other gyms, but that was not the case at all. I had the pleasure of getting the grand tour by Tiffany, who made me feel like she was a new friend showing me around her favorite place. I never felt like I was being sold. I was given a welcome packet upon joining, Tiffany even sent me a nice card a week later. Shes given me guest passes for friends of mine and even follows up on how my training is going ! In just these 2 months I have already seen a change in my body ! If youre thinking about joining a gym in West Hollywood, go to Equinoxand ask for Tiffany.
