Soot Kaput

I was referred to Soot Kaput by my Oil Co to get my chimney cleaned. Our first conversation was 2 weeks before storm Alfred, he took my name and number and told me he was going to call the following week to set up an appt. He never called. I called back the week after the storm and he asked I call him back the following day so he can schedule to come out and look at the chimney. I called the following day and he set up the appt. I sat and waited an hour for him to show up, when he didnt I called him. He gave me a few excuses as to why he didnt come and told me since the storm he has been so busy, when I said you could have called to let me know his attitude changed. I tried to explain to him it was not good customer relations not calling me and he got mad and said Im tired of people saying I have poor communication and he hung up. I am going to call my oil co and let them know about this as I am very disappointed with Soot Kaput. He prides himself on being in business for 27 years, I wonder how he survived that long with the lack of service. I would not recomend this company to anyone. more

Well, after reading the above review, I had mixed emotions concerning a reply. I felt the dent to the 'ol ego, and of course worried about ""how will this make me look !!?"", and resultant negative effects to my wallet as people could be turned away. Facts are..............She is correct. more

I wish that I could tell you how their work was but they never showed up. I found them through ServiceMagic and Rex called me two days later to schedule an appointment. He gave me an office number and a cell number and we scheduled an appointment. He never showed up and he didn't return my call until 3 days later after I had spoken to his office. He apoligized and we scheduled another appointment at this point I asked him to please call me if he couldn't show up. He said he would. Again, he never showed up with no call from him or his office. Don't waste your time with this company! more
