I went for spider vein laser & the NP said said no problem, I put money down as payment. A month later I arrived for treatment, paid the remainder $500 and was told I was NOT a suitable candidate ( a total waste of my time). Now the real problem: I was told they had " reversed" the second payment of almost $500 . Since it had already posted on my VISA I tried to tactfully say no, I thought they needed to refund me my money. The kept saying just to wait, the reversal would come through. Of course it did not. I got a call 4 days later saying they needed to give me a credit, not reversal, I was right, and took my card number again. They blamed my bank, saying they were "holding the credit". Tonight it went through as another debit! So now they owe me over $1000 for no service rendered and I am trying to recover my money. This was the Lake Norman center in NC exit 23. Personally they are all sweet but incompetent when it comes to clinical judgement and billing. Run like the wind -- there have to be better places than this! more

I had to make 4 visits in less than 12 weeks (the last 3 visits were 1-2 weeks apart) for continuous botox corrections, and the final desired result was never achieved. I have been getting botox in my glabella area by my plastic surgeon for several years, and 20 units always completed paralyzes the area so that I have zero frown lines for four months. When I could not get an appointment right away with my plastic surgeon, I decided to try Sona Med Spa since they prices are a bit lower. After 4 visits to Sona and receiving 50 units in my glabella in less than 12 weeks (20 units initially, then 10 more units 8 weeks later, then 12 more units 2 weeks later, then 8 more units 2 weeks later), I can still frown with a slight line/crease in between my eyebrows. I feel that either the solution was not being diluted or stored properly, and/or the technicians were either not fully trained to inject properly or were not injecting as many units as I was told (and paid for). Otherwise there is no reason after that many visits and units in such a short amount of time that I would not have full paralysis in this area. My husband and I are in the process of trying to get pregnant and I informed the staff at Sona of my time limitations to receive this treatment and the importance of getting the full desired effect since I would not be able to get botox again for over a year once I am pregnant. The nurses who performed the injections were very friendly and this review is not personal towards them directly. Unfortunately I was just unsatisfied with the results on the actual product and outcome of the injections. I feel that I wasted a lot of time, money, and gas (Sona is a 50 minute drive from my home) on this process since I was never fully satisfied with the results. This is very disappointing. I understand that things can happen sometimes, and had I received the desired results even after the repeat visits, I would gladly recommend Sona to others. However this was unfortunatley not the case in my experience, therefore at the present time I do not feel that I can provide a positive review or recommend this facility to others. This could possibly change if additional attempts are made by Sona Med Spa to correct the situation to ensure full client satisfaction. more

So I was a little worried as a guy coming into a place of all women to have my procedure done. While I still am hesitant with my remaining procedures I msut say the care is exceptional and the staff is friendly. After one treatment their is a noticable hair loss! The only thing I do not like from a mans perspective is that having some procedures done is kind of embarassing when all you have to choose from is women. I would had rather have a male doing my procedure but I will follow through with the hair removal as it is already worth it with the noticable changes. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and applaud them for the great work they are doing. more

I've had pixel, hair removal, and EFT treatments at Sona and I've had overall great results. The pixel removed dark spots on my forehead when nothing else worked. So I was very happy with that treatment in particular. more

First I did everything online and got a call next day. Excellent service on the phone very informative, with price included and everything. Credit was checked on the phone and everything was set for the first visit. I needed to move my appointment two weeks before and drove to the office because I wanted to see the facilities. Every body very nice and welcome, they changed my appointment and I was able to start 2 weeks before my first scheduled appointment. Front desk lady was very nice, she even gave me all the papers that I need to fill to have them ready for me not to wait on my first appointment. While I was waiting to talk to a lady inside, I heard that she was calling the customers to remind them of their appointment. I thought that was great since I tend to forget mine. I visited the office twice and I am very glad with the service. I will definitely recommended. more
