Can't go wrong! C J and his assistant worked efficiently and professionally to tint windows that would otherwise allow U V rays to darken our newly refinished hardwood floors. Because they explained the difference in energy use, we added several windows that get direct sun. this team had all the materials and tools necessary to complete the project quickly. CJ and the team at Solar Solutions are great! Terrific products, prices and service all in one place. I recently had all the south, east and west facing windows in my home tinted with 3m window tint. CJ and his assistant arrived on time, worked quickly and did a great job.The house looks fantastic from the inside AND from the outside. You really can't even tell the windows are tinted. There is no noticeable color difference from the street and I am thrilled! The tint blocks 99.9% of the UV rays so my new hardwood floors and furniture won't fade and based on my research, I should have significantly lower cooling bills this summer! I got quotes from other vendors, but the price and the quality products at Solar Solutions, along with the friendly service made it an easy choice.\r My husband and I were so happy with the work, that we decided to have the windows tinted on his Mercedes. HORRIBLE. I used these guys (C.J. and Michelle) way back in '03 or '04 on my 4Runner. Did a decent job. Nothing great, but decent and the money was right at the time. I brought the same SUV back to them this winter for basically an entire re-tint (prompted by the replacement of my hatchback since someone hit me from behind). I have since moved about 30 miles away, but my girlfriend lives in Franklin so we arranged for SS to have my car for the day. Upon initial inspection, the tint job looked good. However, when I got home later that afternoon, I noticed a pretty sizable “gap” in one of the back quarter panel window. In other words, you could see light coming through all the sides. Probably 1/4'” inch on one side and that’s unacceptable for a legitimate tinting business. \r \r However, mistakes happen so I scheduled another day to drop the 4Runner off to have it fixed. Still a pain to do so… but I was assured it wouldn’t take too long and at the end of the day, it didn’t. But, I had another surprise in store: After about 3 weeks (it’s winter so I could wait the allotted week to NOT roll down windows to give time for the new tint to “settle.”), I rolled down the rear back glass (4Runners can do this) to let in a little air. BUT… I heard a “crinkling” sound but didn’t notice anything at first; thought they may be remaining air bubbles seeing their way out. \r \r A few days later, I rolled the window down (partially) again and heard the same noise. Turns out… the window tint was being “pushed” away from the glass and rolling up; looked horrible and it looked like an amateur must have installed this tint and maybe had a “lip” of the tint not cut correctly. In one corner, a sizable portion ripped up; I have posted a picture on this site and I have plenty more. Here is what made it worse still: Yes, they fixed it for free, but this was my SECOND visit on bogus work that was THEIR fault. And, since they told me they couldn’t fix the back window on a Saturday (half day, not properly staffed), I had to take ANOTHER day off from work, travel 30 miles one way, get my girlfriend to ALSO take time away from work to pick me up, and do it all over again. They offered absolutely NOTHING in return as a “customer satisfaction” good faith gesture. \r \r Not sure what happened to this company, but unless you want to waste your valuable time AND money… I’d stay away. There are PLENTY of other window tint shops out there. more

At the recommendation of a Franklin officer I checked these guys out last week for tint on my Tahoe. Let me just say that from the minute I called I knew this was who I was going to use. As others have said, they were very professional, and very friendly on the phone. They covered my options and pricing and helped me setup an appt for two days later. I dropped it off that morning and they started on it immediately. I planned to hang out for a few hours, but was shocked when they pulled it around in an hour, 15 min. It's been 5 days now and the drying process is complete. I just finished cleaning the windows up and they look perfect! A lifetime warranty to boot and this was a no-brainer! It has been a month and a half since the crew there tinted the windows at my home. The house stays cooler in the day and warmer in the evening hours. The tint looks great and you barley notice it on the glass. It really does what they say it should.I got all the benfits of it and cant really tell they are tinted. The crew that did the installation were clean,neat, and very polite with my family.You can just tell these guys and girl really do care about what they do.Keep up the great work!!!!!!! more

I took my car there a week ago to have its windows tinted, and they took care of everything on the same day in a matter of an hour or so. The owner was very helpful in educating me on the subject. The price was reasonable too. Extra Credit: It was lunch time when I picked up my car; there is a great sushi place across street from the shop which hit the spot. more

I had a terrific experience with Solar Solutions on Columbia Avenue. I called several local businesses, and companies in Nashville to get a quote on a trailer hitch/install and Solar Solutions gave me the most fair price. The hitch was for my husband's truck, for our anniversary. I didn't know if I needed a light harness or not, and the staff was honest with me in letting me know that the truck already had a factory installed light harness. Also, when they heard it was for an anniversary gift, they gave me an extra ""hitch cover bag"" for free. I had my 3 year old daughter with me while waiting for the installation, and the whole process took maybe 40 minutes. In a nutshell, my experience showed Solar Solutions to be honest, quick, economical, and thoughtful. more

I have known CJ and the staff down at Solar Solutions for years...This is the only shop I will let tint my vehicles. They use a great quality film and have expert knowledge on installation.\r \r Most recently I had a liner spayed into my truck bed…it looks GREAT! This is where I get all accessories for my pickup truck; great prices, and fast installation.\r \r The owner of the shop also talked with me about coming to my house and tinting my windows for my home…I am glad I did. This place was the best. I took my truck in to get the windows tinted. I thought i would have to come back another day to get the work done. But they said they could get me done today. That was great. They had a tv for me to watch to help the time go by. It didn't take long at all, and they explaned how to take care of the tint. I saw that they do car detailing. I had some time to spear so ask about it. It was just as quick has the tint was. This place was great. i got the windows tinted and the car clean. Now i have a like new car again. I had my windows tinted on my Jeep at Solar Solutions. They did a great job, really paying attention to the details! The windows look great and my vehicle stays cooler when the sun is beating down. I have had both of my vehicles tinted there and was so pleased with the work. They finished my 4 door Saturn in about hour and half. and my 2 door pick-up truck in a half hour. I also had the windows in my home tinted! They were respectful of my time and keeping my interior clean during the process. Having the windows in my home saves on my energy bill and keeps my floors, cabinets, etc from fading! The staff is extremely efficient, do EXCELLENT work, and it is all done at a GREAT price! I recently took my new SUV in to have the windows tinted. I had my three year old with me, and was concerned about keeping him occupied while the work was done. It was awesome, they had a huge TV in the waiting area that they turned to cartoons for him. The entire staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. They finished in about 45 minutes and my truck looked great! I will always use them in the future and would highly recommend them! Pros: fast but great job more

I have used them several times for different things,they do alot more than just window tint! I've had alot of accessories put on my truck and they sprayed the bed too. I had all of my windows tinted in my car in about an hour. It was a good deal and very professional looking. I tried tinting my own windows, but I just couldn't seem to get it right. I always want things perfect. Haha. The only think I did not like was the fact that they cut my car with the knife. Right across the back passenger side door to the front passenger side door.
