I ordered two identical sofas from Sofa U Love on 10/5/11. When they arrived, the quality was poor. The back cushions had 2 throw pillow cushions stuffed in each, and the dimensions were not what I had ordered. The padding on the back and sides of the sofas was sub-par and thin, making it possible to feel the frame through the fabric. They said they would make it right, and would remake the sofas. I decided to make the sofas a few inches shorter since they were going to remake them anyway. However, it took another 6 weeks, too many phone calls to count, and a number of visits to the store to get an answer as to what, if any, additional cost there would be. I finally got an answer of $200 per sofa, which I decided to pay to get furniture that better fit in my living room. (Personally, I don't think there should have been a charge at all given the poor quality assurance and the length of time this situation has stretched on.) The new dimensions were written up on 12/15/11, and I was told my sofas would be ready on 1/11/12 due to the holidays. We set an appointment time for that day for me to go to their warehouse to check the sofas before they were delivered. That morning - 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and as I was in my car driving to the factory - I heard from the sales woman telling me the sofas weren't ready. She told me she would call me that afternoon to let me know when they would be done. I never heard from her. I called the store this morning and they still can't give me an answer.
I am a very unhappy customer, am beyond frustrated with them, and tired of spending time I don't have dealing with Sofa U Love. It is 3 months later and I still don't have the corrected furniture, or a date of when it will be done. I will update my review if the situation is resolved satisfactorily. In the meantime, I hope this review helps you make your purchasing decision, and you can judge for yourself whether you want to deal with the hassle of doing business with this store.
