Sobrinski Painting

My wife and I contacted several contractors to paint our home. Everything went well at first. They showed up on time, taped up and appeared to do the work as promised. About two days into the work, things broke down. Each day, someone different would come to the house, not knowing where the last person finished or the work that needed to be completed. They hit some bad weather and decided to take down our shutters and work on them at their location. They damaged some of the shutters beyond repair, told us they would replace them, and then sent someone to try to repair them (even though they said they would replace them). Six weeks into the project, the work is not complete. There is clearly miscommunication at the office since workers who show up are under the impression they are there for something other than what we were told by the estimator. In addition to bad communication and follow up, they left equipment on our lawn that killed some of the grass, failed to touch up and remove mold before painting as promised, piled stuff in my garage making it hard to park, and on top of it have been sending bills as if the work is even close to being completed. While no one has been rude, it is clear that they've either taken on too much work this summer, or need someone to manage the business better. Unless they can resolve their organizational issues, I would stay away from this company. This is the most frustrating experience I've had with a company in my 16 years living in the Lehigh Valley. Update: Two weeks later and the job is still not complete. The manager Bill spoke with my wife and promised the work would be done. We were told that we would get a call before anyone else showed up to finish the work. While at work, my son called and said guys showed up and were working. By the time I got home, they were gone. Two broken shutters were replaced, but other work was not completed. No call or follow up. This is like a clown show and I have downgraded to one star. more

Be careful and do your research before you decide to give these crooks your money. They cut corners with their supplies and paints hoping the homeowners wouldn't notice, happened to me, DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY, and their so called owner David Sobrinski is a joke, very condescending. more

Not impressed. The person that originally came to me house (the son?) was very knowledgable about my project and understood what I wanted to achieve with my project. I received the estimate and had a few questions about the details so I called the office. I asked for Pat, which I found out was also the fathers name because my call was transferred to him. That is fine, I assumed he would be just as knowledgable on the project. WRONG!!! After talking to the "owner/father" it is clear to see why they send out the son, he it the only one who knows anything about construction & is respectful to customers! I took my work somewhere else. I'm glad I happen to speak with the father, it made me realize the lack of respect and ability to answer simple questions. My recommendation: go somewhere else, or make sure that the father is NOT involved. more

Came over to survey the proposed project. I had to call multiple times over weeks to get an estimate. The contract came through missing major parts of the project. I called and discussed. Revisions came back wrong again. Asked to speak with the company principal (now the son, the father appears to have taken a back seat) who never got on the phone. Very frustrating and has put me back weeks because I was interested in the company from past dealings with the father. They're obviously having trouble over there now, though. Awful communication and seemingly no real interest in getting it right. Good thing I found out now! The job (and not a small one) will go to someone else. more
