Eric Snyder is nothing short of a bully; his business practices mirror the likes of Bernie Maddoff and any other con artist who uses false promises and poor integrity to lure victims in. The upside of this is that in the era of social media he can only get away for so much longer before his reputation gets to potential clients before “he does”. more

Beware!!! I would not trust Eric Snyder to watch my hamster! He seems to have no commitment to keep his promises, answer his telephone calls, live up to his commitments or pay his bills. Sub-contractors, beware. If you agree to do work for Snyder Roofing and All American Builders, make SURE you have solid contracts and documentation. Even then, do not expect effective communication or integrity. more

Wow, can I give no stars on this review? I just got up on my roof to replace some soffit. As far as roofing goes, this is a complete hack job. Whatever you do, do NOT hire these A$$clowns to do any work on your house. Thanks Jason for getting back to me after I sent you about 10 emails! NOT! Customer service, what's that? ALL the positive reviews on this site are FAKE!!!!! Bill R the sales guy is a liar. What was sold is not what was installed. Stay away from Snyder, you'd be better off hiring a team of drunk homeless bums to put shingles on. more

I had the unfortunate, rude and very pushy contact with Eric Snyder. I did not call them about new roofing. I had done some investigating on-line about roofers and some how and for some reason they called me. I had told Snyder on the phone, I can NOT accept anyones bids as yet, I am just trying to get an idea of the cost for new roofing. I am on disability and little income. He and a employee came to my house. Snyder talked and talked about how wonder their company is over everyone elses. They were in my house for over 2 hours. Snyder was so extremely deternined that I HAD to sign a contract with them or else. I wouldn't be that stupid. I wouldn't have Snyder put a roof on my house or do a thing for me, after listening to Snyder for way too long with all his very pushy rude and insisting ways. I have never in my 50 some years ever met with any contrator as bad as he is. The roof on my house from just a regular kind and non-insisting company put a roof on this house, over 15 years ago and it has lasted that long. The company that is going to put a new roof on it now is a regular and great company. A zillion times better then Snyder any day. Snyder gave me a quote for $15,000.00 and reduced it to $10,000.00 with a very snotty attitude. He could have told me he would do the job for $10.00 and I wouldn't have gone along with him anyway. The company that is going to the job now is going to do it for less than $4000.00. It will last 12 to 15 years and I have peace of mind with that and no rudeness or temper tantrums. Amen. more

I had heard great reviews on Snyder roofing so I decided to go with them and convinced my neighbors to do the same. They got two jobs from me in the end. The original sales person Michael was crazy rude and pushy. I tried to look past it hoping that the actual roof job would be worth it in the end. A contract was written up specifying that the job did not include the garage (which is a given I think). After the roof was finished John Snyder informed me that the front porch would be extra because it was not included in the contract, however it was never specified as the garage was. They wanted 800 extra dollars to do it. I was not in a position to be able to shell out an extra 800 bucks beyond what it already was, so I decided to wait until spring. In the spring I hired a different contractor to do the porch and ended up finding out that one of the Snyder workers had fallen through the roof of the porch and then it was covered up with sheet metal. I called Snyder roofing and informed them of the porch roof. The lady I spoke with was very kind and said she would talk to John (owner) and see what they could do. I never heard back from them. The job went from a 800 dollar job to a 2,250 job. The entire porch had to be ripped off and redone. Hire at your own risk, they did a wonderful job on my friends house, I guess I wasn't quite as lucky. more

I had called to set up an estimate and was then called back the day before the walk thru to confirm the day and time. That seemed professional to me, nobody wants to have their time wasted and they were following up to make sure nothing had changed. I confirmed the day and time and was then called again the day of the walk thru to confirm again (about 3 hours before they were to show up). Wasn't sure why my first confirmation wasn't good enough, but things slip thru the cracks sometimes. So you'd think they'd be there and on time, right? more

After shopping around for roofing companies, we eventually settled on Snyder Roofing. Our house was having issues with ice damns building up in the winter and Chad, whom we discussed the project with, informed us that by adding more insulation and clearing the eves, we could completely get rid of the ice dams. This is exactly what were looking to do and hired them for the job. The proposal stated they would start within 7-14 days. The 14 day window passed and we had to call them to schedule a time to come out (when they should have called us within that window). They arrived on time and completed the job within the day. While impressed at the speed, this later turned out to cause issues. While on the job, John Snyder (co-owner) informed us that they needed extra materials that would cost an extra $960. We wrote a check (John wanted it made out to him, not the business) and the job was completed. We never received an itemized list of where that money went (vs the proposal which listed what was going to be done & the materials for the original quote). After they completed and left, we went up to inspect the attic, where they blew in more insulation and were supposed to clean out the eves. We were greeted with what appeared to be a rush job. The styrofoam which was supposed to keep insulation out of the eves was hastily tacked up, with some of them already half falling off. Winter was arriving and we hoped the new roof would take care of the ice damn problem, as they promised it would. Winter came, and to our dismay, we still have the same sized ice damns as before the roof replacement. We took photos all around the house and tried to contact them in early February. It was a whole month (and 4 phone calls on Feb 10th, 24th, Mar 3rd and 10th - leaving messages on voicemail or with whomever answered.) before we were able to get someone to come out and check, by which time the ice damns had melted (after our own work in trying to keep them off the roof as much as possible). Eric Snyder (co-owner) finally came out and while he couldn't see the ice damns first-hand, we gave him all the photos we had taken. We told him our issues (ice dams and no itemized list for the $960) and he told us he'd see what he could do and I should call back in a few weeks. I called on Mar 14th, April 7th and April 18th, either leaving messages on their voicemail or with whomever answered. On the April 18th call, I informed them that dude to lack of communication I would file a complaint with the BBB (Being 3 months since first call, over 1 month since Eric stopped out). I filed the complaint with the BBB and called them to inform of them of the case number. Over the next two months, the BBB tried contacting them to resolve the issue. Each and every time, they ignored it. The BBB informed us of this and closed the complaint. I will continue to attempt to contact them to resolve the issue. If they do, I'll edit my review to reflect that, but as of now, I would never recommend Snyder Roofing to anyone. more
