Editorial review from Citysearch 9/4/2012

My experience with Joshua Scoville was very favorable. I bought a HUD home. Because the government has a lot of quirky rules and regulations, there were a MANY bumps in the road. Joshua to explain what each one was and helped me through them. He went above and beyond what I think is the typical and normal process for a mortgage broker. I?d recommend him to others. more

Filled out the application, credit check ect ect after a day or two Snap told me I qualified for a 180K home They ensured me everything was taken care now just go look for a home... Spend 3 or 4 weeks looking for a home. Found a decent fixer upper went back to Snap to finish up the paperwork was told I needed to pay 500 for a appraisal, then 1000 for earnest money and if we close at by August I would qualify for the 8000 Tax rebate. Paid the 1500 dollars a few days went by then I was told there was some issues with the lending company I sent them over more paper work more check stubs more proof of income. Long story short Snap told me the Mortgage companies they negotiated with backed out. Soooo my questions is Why was everything green and in the clear before I paid 1500 dollars ???? Lost the 8000 tax rebate so in short Snap screwed me out of 9500+ dollars. more

Joshua Scoville, Kevin Picketts - NOT GOOD TO WORK WITH 5/16/2011

We went to Johsua Scoville and Kevin Picketts to refinance our mortgage. Long story short- We were told we would get a refund of 2356.20 from our past loan when we refinanced with them. AFTER we signed all the paperwork and AFTER the waiting period was over, we received email that instructed us how to go abotu getting our refund. Well you guessed it. NO REFUND! They did give us 1,000 dollars and an"" I'm sorry."" We assumed they knew what they were talking about and they didn't. The kicker was that the refund program ended 2 years previous. I guess being a professional doesn't mean much to some people. more
