Smyth Jewelers

The folks at Smyth are simply awesome! My wife and I worked with Brian McCullough at the Timonium store, and we can't say enough great things about him or everyone else associated with the store. First, Brian worked with my wife through about 2 hours of trying on different wedding rings, and even went and solicited other workers in the store for their opinion when she was down to 2 rings that she had a hard time choosing from. Second, he did an awesome job of sizing both of our rings, as I have a giant knuckle that I had trouble fitting a ring on to, and my wife had a weird-sized ring finger (somewhere between 5 and 5.5 ring finger) that required the store to shave down the inside of the ring (which they did, no problem!). They also had some of the best prices around the Baltimore area (we went to about 10 different places, and it isn't even close in terms of price comparison, and the quality was virtually the same. I'm not sure where these other reviews are saying their prices are super-expensive, that wasn't the case, at least for our wedding rings). Finally, the finished product was awesome, and the rings are of high quality and fit great. This place was simply fantastic (you can't beat their prices or their service), and make sure to ask for Brian if you go in. He was great to deal with. more

I was impressed with Smyth's new store on York Road. It is large and spacious and well lit and there is more than ample parking. The sales help is as friendly and quick as ever and they were very good about calling to to let me know my piece was ready to be picked up. I was also impressed with the security, which was discreet but obviosly was a presence. There are a lot of nice gift items here if you have a wedding or other big event coming up. Very nice place to shop. more

I don't wear jewelry very often so I don't actually shop here much but Smyth is really great for services like watch cleaning, ring resizing, resetting stones, and things like that. Their service is fast and friendly and they emphasize security so I feel like my valuables are very safe with them. It's fun to wander around the store looking at things while you wait for certain quick services. Location is great and there is loads of parking. more

Smyth company is wonderful for many reasons. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted by a security man who is dressed in a suit, not a uniform with a gun hanging from his hip. Smyth has recently moved to a new location and now the displays are so spread out and it is a much brighter atmosphere. Smyth sells everything from wedding rings to flatware. You can also pick up a Vera Bradley handbag at Smyth. Smyth wants to do everything to give their customer a good experience so that they will come back again. I recently took a watch, which was a Christmas present, into Smyth to have a few links removed and it took 15 minutes and was free. Smyth is a very friendly and professional jeweler. more

My husband and I shopped at Smyth for our wedding rings. We found exactly what we wanted, and the staff person helping us was so patient as we took our time choosing rings. Everyone we talked to there was very knowledgable about jewelry. There was a mixup with my order (my ring was accidentally ordered in yellow gold, instead of white gold), and they were very apologetic, and quickly ordered the correct ring. All around, it was a great experience. more
