We went to this practice after recently moving to the area. It came recommended by a friend, and seemed initially to meet our family's needs. However, after a few sick visits, we learned that this practice is just too big and too busy to offer individual care. Prospective patients should know that this practice has some strange rules regarding sick visits, such as that, on many weekdays, they don't schedule sick visits before 11 a.m., even though the practice is open at 8:30 a.m. Apparently, healthy kids are the priority on those mornings, unless, I was told by an m.d. at the practice, your child is having trouble breathing. (Basically, has the type of medical problem you would take them to an e.r. for!) When I questioned that the person making that triage determination was a non medical professional (it's the receptionist), the m.d. had no response. The m.d. then said that treating my 5 year old's severe double ear infection earlier in the day wouldn't really have made a medical difference, except "" REGARDING THE DISCOMFORT LEVEL HE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING."" I guess pain management isn't a priority of this practice. This m.d. then attempted to console me with this statement, ""It's not as if your child is at risk for permanent hearing loss due to the delay."" Hey, thanks, doc! Needless to say, we won't be returning to this practice.
Cons: doctors have no pediatric bedside manner; long waits for sick visits
