PUSHY, Pushy! 11/2/2011

I have visited this place twice. The first time was okay and the technician took her time. I felt as though I may actually be getting what i paid for. - however, still no noticeable results. Apparently, as the second technician told me, I need "many more" sessions or else I was "wasting" my money. She was very rough! She kept hitting my teeth with the wand and spent maybe 7-10 minutes on me. I was told it was a 20-30 minute proceedure the first time I was there. I waited 45minutes for my appointment and was in the treatment room no more than 10. They were running late and were (I guess) trying to make up time on me. There was no special serum/lubricant used on my face, just generic baby oil and she applied it with much too big, latex gloves on her hands. It had the effect of a lubricated, used condom being splashed across my face. I had baby oil in my mouth and eyes, eventhough they were squeezed shut. I could barely see to get myself home. Aside from the baby oil, the technician went very fast and kept jamming the wand into the center of my throat while doing my neck. VERY uncomfortable! I thought I would choke to death. I did not have the slightest glow afterward and felt very little warmth on my face, as I did the first time. The receptionist/manager kept trying to sell me additional packages and hounded me both times. I told her I was waiting to see how I liked the results of my current procedures. No results yet, still waiting for that to happen. All in all a very poor way to spend an afternoon. Maybe if done correctly in a reputable spa/doctor's office one would get the hoped for results, but I doubt that happens at Sleek. more

Refuse to give prices..... 6/5/2011

This is a sales trap. I called to get a price and they REFUSED to provide that. I MUST come into the spa for an appointment. They refused to even give me a "price range" for what I was asking for.... THIS SPEAKS VOLUMES TO ME!!!! more

Very Attentive! :) 1/22/2011

Recently I went to Sleek for a surgical consultation. Going in for the meeting I had in my head that being in a medical setting it was going to be a very impersonal, cut and dry experience. Not what I expected at all! From the second I walked in I was made to feel extremely comfortable. The women at the front desk area introduced themselves while immediately offering me a cup of coffee to warm up from the cold outside. After, the consultant walked me down to a room that had a nice, cozy feel to it. The consultant was very compassionate to my concerns and 'listened' to me- even talking about her own areas of insecurity making me feel more at ease. She was extremely approachable and didn't make me feel pressured into anything. It was more of a conversation than a sales pitch. Since putting down my deposit for the surgery, that same consultant has followed up with me twice reassuring me that she will be there for me throughout this process and to contact her with any questions or concerns I may have. Very pleased with the overall experience so far!!! more

Great Experience 8/25/2010

I went for my first visit to Sleek in Burlington a few days ago. After reading some of the posts, I was a bit skeptical. My consultation was good. The woman that I meet with answered all of my questions and got me started on a package of microdermabrasions and chemical peel along with products to use at home. I started my products that night and love them. My skin feels great! I have had 1 treatment so far and like everything about it. The girl that did my treatment was very knowledgable and set me up with my next two appointments. She did tell me that they get busy in the fall and that I should book 2 appointments out. I thought everyone there was great! I will definitely recommend them to my friends. more

Excellent Service, professional attitude, and high value 8/24/2010

I went to Sleek Medspa in Burlington several times over the last year to have the hair on my back removed. The staff conducted themselves in a professional manner, and provided excellent and valued service. The results are amazing, I would certainly recommmend Sleek Medspa for laser hair removal. more

Don't Waste your Money! 5/11/2010

I have been using sleek medspa in Burlington for over a year. They consistently reduce the length of my appointment, so I can never complete all the areas I paid for. Further, they never seem to know how my appointment got changed. Now, I am told that my life time guarantee has new restrictions on it! I can only come in during specific days of the week and for specific time slots. If I go more than 10 weeks between appointments, the lifetime guarantee is voided. I agreed to pay thousands of dollars for this service with the understanding that I had a lifetime guarantee. However, now they are changing the rules now that they have my money. So basically, if I choose to have a baby, I need to pay for all of my services over again. This is discriminatory and inexcusable. I would never recommend that my friends waste their money here and I am very sorry that I did. more

Great for Botox! 5/4/2010

I used to go to a plastic surgeon to get my Botox. I had to book weeks/months in advance, and it cost a FORTUNE. When he had a specialist do it, she was great. But I think times were tight, so he did it himself, and he just didn't have "the touch." (I even got a bruise and some lumps...eventually go away, but didn't get either w/ the specialist). Botox is not rocket science, it is more like phlebotomy (drawing blood), or perhaps even tattoos. Those who do it all the time, and specialize in just that, do the best, most pain free and accurate job. But most impressive was the price...a full 75% less than the plastic surgeon charged. And they did exactly what I wanted, and didn't try to talk me into more. Pros: Great job, best price Cons: none more

Love Sleek 7/14/2009

I recently began a series of microdermabrasions at Sleek's burlington location and I have to say that I couldn't ask for anything better. As soon as I walked in for my first appointment, I was greeted by 2 adorable girls at the front desk who offered me water and magazines. About a second later, my esthetician came to the front to take me in. I immediatly felt comfortable with her, she of course had perfect skin, but was also extremely polite. She asked me about all of my skin concerns and listened carefully to exactly I was looking to achieve throughout my treatments. She then explained everything that she was going to do for my skin that day and warned me ahead of time what certain parts of the facial were going to feel like. Despite looking no older than her early twenties, my esthertician was impressively knowledgeable and answered all of my questions in great depth. Afterwards, my skin was softer than I can remeber it ever being! My esthertician then wrote up a skin care regime for me (which was exactly what I need because I'm totally clueless when it comes to that kind of thing), which I then bought immediatly after. I have had 2 more microdermabrasions since then and am already seeing a great difference. All in all, Sleek is a great place for treatments, I'm always looking foreward to my next one. Just be careful about getting too addicted to their services, they have something to fix everything! Pros: great, helpful staff, effective treatments Cons: so far, so good more

Not a fan 5/30/2009

My treatments were rushed and the results of my laser hair removal didn't last long. I felt taken advantage of by the staff here because of how pushy everyone was. Pros: convenient Cons: everything more

Why You Should Re-Consider Sleek MedSPa 7/24/2008

Heres the super short version: Grrrr.... Heres the short version: Dont waste youre money Heres the detailed/ long version: This place is a money grabbing unprofessional waste of hard earned cash! I went in for a long- been -scheduled appt for a microdermabrasion 2 days ago. The moment I walked in the first thing I was told was "well I have about 15 minutes to do your treatment, we're a little tight today" Thats it. No greeting. No initial "Hello how are you today?" Great so Im hauled into the treatment room like. I get a painful treatment whcih is basically supposed to remove dead skin cells. Im rushed through 'treatment' , and in the end after Ive left not only do I find salt scrub-style crystals all over my neck, chest ears and in my mouth, yes my mouth. I find this out later throughout the day...mind you Worst part is: Im looking in the mirror while shopping next door in Lord and Taylor not 10 minutes followiing my appt. & I see little bits of skin that I could have easily removed with my buff puff! Hello I just wasted over $100 for crappy treatment, crappy service and they just dont care. They treated me like cattle and I put up with it at the time for lord knows why. Im calling the head office to complain. Oh and in the end all they cared about was trying to sell me $1000 worth of Botox. "No: how was your treatment today?" (LOL actually its prob. good they DIDNT ask!!) In a word: Grrrr.... Pros: clean interior Cons: lack of parking, avaiolability of appts, rude staff, lousy treatment, too expensive more

Service was nice but not knowledgeble enough. However, it would be nice to return calls. When I went for second consultation, it was noted that the treatment was not done at an appropriate level to be noticable. more

Young Again! 10/22/2006

I used to go to my plastic surgeon for Botox and was apprehensive about getting anything medical done in a mall. I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and service I received from Sleek and would recommend it to anyone interested used to visiting their doctor for these things. Pros: CONVENIENT! Cons: slightly chilly in store more

Good job 10/22/2006

I like Sleek MedSpa. I didn't think I would be able to afford laser for my back, but I was able to finance it which was really helpful. I'm not done yet, but can see a difference so far. Pros: financing Cons: don't know more
