The customer service at Skip's Tire is awesome. The way they do business, the way they approach their customers, and the way they are up front before moving forward about the repairs and costs is top notch. There is no pressure. Sometimes places try to get their customers to do this or that, but Skip's Tire is straight to the point. They will give other options, and point out what might need to be done in the future, but there is no pressure. I was going to a different shop in Gilroy, where I live, but it wasn't working out well. I decided to go to Skip's Tire as it is close to my son's school. I went to the Evergreen location, off of Capitol Expressway, and met Ken. He set me up with tires. From that point on I met everybody, and it has been excellent. We now have a relationship with them, and they are so good. I appreciate them so much that I have even brought down donuts. My wife also loves and appreciates their service. Everything about them is fantastic. If you are looking for somewhere to go and are not in a big rush, go down there and sit and talk with them. Make your decision after that. Customer service is very important to them. I have no problems commuting from Gilroy just to use their service. We have been blessed to have them. more

I have been a long term client of Skip's Tire on Blossom Hill. I've had several different techs, and I have my favorite, so my experiences have been a little varied. For the most part everything has been very good. Both the personnel and the care they provide are excellent. I have used Skip's Tire on Blossom Hill both personally and professionally. I took my own car there for two new tires, shocks, and struts. They noticed that the sway bar links at the rear of my vehicle needed replacement, let me know about it, and gave me the best pricing available. I send everyone I know there. Professionally, they service the fleet for Aquatek Plumbing. They definitely give the best price within a range of prices that fit my needs for the fleet. They really go above and beyond in service. The guys at Skip's Tire are always quick and get right on the service. I have been going to them for a number of years, both at Los Gatos and Blossom Hill. They are all very attentive to my specific needs and jump right on any problems. The whole staff is very helpful and try to get things going. They always quote me the best price. The selection of tires they help me choose is exactly what is needed; they don't go overboard and don't go straight for the top end. I have been going to Skip's Tire for approximately 12 years. Overall, my personal experience has been quite favorable. For example, one time I went to Skip's thinking I might need new tires. The person I spoke with said he would like to sell me the tires, but I did not need them yet, so he told me to come back in six months. He gave me an honest response. Also, I had a serious car problem about 18 months ago, and I literally needed a new engine, which was quite expensive. Skip's Tire helped me find the best route to take and they helped me put in a new engine even though that is beyond the scope of service they usually provide. And I believe they did it because I was a longtime customer. Finally, they have always been very polite to me and I appreciate the courtesy. more

My husband, my son, and I are each extremely happy with the service and quality of work provided by Skip's Tire in Scotts Valley. They are very honest and they never tell me to get something I don't need. They encourage me to come back with any questions and they are always very helpful. We go to Skip's Tire for all major service, repairs and maintenance, including 110k mile service, replaced belts, suspension, brakes, oil change and lube. As a woman, I tend to be somewhat skeptical when dealing with mechanics. Skip's Tire always advise you honestly, and they let you know which repairs and maintenance services are less urgent. When I sold my car, I was able to put the buyer in touch with my mechanic at Skip's Tires, and he agreed to check everything out. They provide excellent customer service. I first started going to Skip's Tire when I moved to California, probably about 28 years ago. I went to the shop on Cottle Road because it was convenient and Ben Camacho, who was the manager there, made me a loyal customer. He really cares about the customer. Now, I go to the Skip's up on Blossom Hill because that is where Ben ended up. They always try to be fair, let you know what is going on with your car, and they never do any work on the car before talking to you about it first. Their customer service is excellent. Every tire that I have ever bought for every car that I have ever had has come from Skip's. They also have done some major repairs for me and done a good job. If anything did not turn out the way I expected, I took it back and they made it right. They are somebody you can trust. more

After the first couple of jobs that Skip's Tire did for me, I got to know the mechanics and liked the comprehensive service. They are conveniently located not far from my house and they are able to do a variety of things, from tire and brake work to complete diagnostics. I have been going to Skip's for the last 15 years, and to the Blossom Hill location in particular for the last 3 or 4 years. I have come to rely on them to maintain all 4 of my cars and have been very impressed with the work that they have done. They mechanics at Blossom Hill are all very knowledgeable and make an effort to get everything done in the time frame they tell you. They also are helpful in diagnosing problems and recommending any future work that needs to be done before it gets worse. I have been going to Skip's Tire at the Blossom Hill Road location for years now because they have great pricing and service. I use them for both my personal cars and my business. They service 12 different vehicles for me, including my children's cars. Skip's has done maintenance and repair work for us, everything from tires and wheels to air conditioning. They also have worked on our 4x4s. If we have any problems, we take the vehicle right back and they fix it immediately, no questions asked. At the Blossom Hill location, always ask for Pat, the manager. He is the best: He is knowledgeable, honest, and very good with customers. Our entire family, 3 generations, has used Skip's Tire. We started going to them about 25 years ago and have been recommending them for many years as well. We go to the Cottle Road store, where they service multiple cars for us, including our children's cars. They have done everything from maintenance work and tire replacement to major engine and repair work. We have always felt that they were honest and fair in terms of price. When it comes to tires, they have always met or beat the best price we found. Also, their lifetime alignment is a great deal. I started going to Skip's Tire years ago because they were close to where I live, but I have continued to use them because they are reliable and have very little turnover. I have built a relationship with the teams of people that work there. They remember who I am and what my car problems are. They go out of their way to help me. Also, I appreciate that they do not try to sell me something that I do not need. Over the years, Skip's has done a variety of work for me, from tires and brakes to motor repairs and water pumps. I have been using Skip's Tire for at least 25 years and they have kept all of our cars in good shape and running well. Their service is excellent. I appreciate that they listen to me and take my concerns seriously. For example, if I hear a strange noise coming from the car, I feel confident taking it to Skip's. I have had previous experiences with other car dealers in which they have not taken my concerns seriously. At Skip's, their communication is also very good in terms of explaining what work needs to be done and why. When something is wrong with the car, they tell me and I have them repair it. They are very trustworthy. They do not tell you that you need to do something just so that they can make money. Also, when they say they are going to fix something, they fix it. If I have any questions or concerns about the car afterward, I go back to them and they take care of it. They stand behind their work. Skip's Tire is the best. They handle all of my car service because they are knowledgeable, their workmanship is high-quality, and they are very trustworthy, which is a big deal in the auto industry. I initially started using Skip's because they took over the dealership that I was going to in Los Altos. Skip had just opened the shop and was running the show when I went in there to get tires for my daughter's car. While the work was being done, Skip gave me his Durango to use for a few hours. That gesture really impressed me and I have used them ever since. You have to be able to trust someone who works on your car, and I absolutely trust the people at Skip's. They do not try to sell you something you do not need, or do unnecessary work. Sam works on all of my vehicles, from oil changes to replacing the rotors, and he does a great job. I recently sold my Mercedes and recommended Skip's to the the buyer. I told them that all of the work had been done there and that if they had any questions at all they could go to them and get answers and help. I highly recommend Skip's to everybody. Skip's Tire has done wonderful work on our family's cars. We work with race cars and our kids rebuild cars. The staff at Skip's are always available to help us with our car projects. We first started going to them because it was convenient -- they took over the old shop that we were originally going to. From the first day we went to Skip's and met their staff, we decided to stay with them. They are very responsive and they do excellent work. Before they sell you tires, they do research so that they get you the best ones. They are polite and they get the job done when they say they will. If your car will not be ready on time, they call and tell you. When they return your car to you, it is clean. All of the work that they have done for us has turned out better than I expected because they are so thorough. They have found things that we did not realize were wrong, but they do not find issues just to make money. We trust our cars to them. Sam, in particular, is wonderful. He can tell immediately what is wrong with our cars when we bring them in. Everyone at the shop bends over backwards to help us. I take my mother's car to Skip's to get serviced as well. Our friend who helps us with our race cars also uses them. I recommend them because you could not get better service than you get at Skip's. They go above and beyond most service agencies. We have been using Skips tires for tires for over 10 years. Never had a problem or any other issue. Prices are very good in an industry with very little markup in the product. Customer Service is also excellent. more
