I've used the Los Altos Skip's Tire store for the last four or five years, and it is an outstanding place. The manager Sam is just outstanding--I have nothing but positive things ...

Worst

Was caught in SanJose with front pads going metal to metal. I was charged $111 for brake pads, $207 for two new "white box" rotors and $140 for an install. $458!! Thats' for ONE e...

Very convenient & nice work. I love the convenience of having the work on our cars done while I'm at work. Add that to the knowledgeable and pleasant staff and reasonable prices and it's a win win situation. more

GOOD JOB 5/25/2012

I brought my car in for routine service. Had an oil change and transmission service. Since I recently purchased new tires, they recommended a tire rotation. Service was great and technicians were knowledgeable. more

Skips tires where much help I went in gave them the size of my Volvo tire size and gave me the pricing for different types of tires from cheapest to expensive tires. They gave me suggestions and a print out of what was included because I wasn?t sure what I was able to afford at the time I was in there but they were very courteous and helpful. more

Excellent service. 3/20/2012

We buy tires from Skip's at an enormous rate. We have five cars, one with dualys, and a boat on a trailer. The Cottle Road Skip's (San Jose) is always willing to help. They know me when I walk through the door, and they're just really great and friendly. I've never had to come back except once when we put tires on the Mercedes because they were the wrong size in the back. They ordered the new ones and got them installed within a day or two. I'm about to go put new tires on my new Mustang Cobra, and I expect they will help me. I will absolutely go back there. I don't even price around anymore. I just go in and say, "you know who I am," and I'm taken care of. more

I went in for one new tire and saw that they were running a special for buy 2 get 2 free They explained I'd have to pay MSRP for the tires plus road hazard and alignment... quoted about $700 total. When I went back to pick up my car, they even gave me a mail in rebate from Goodyear that I hadn't known about. I'd come back here again! more

Great customer service and value. 3/13/2012

I've been to all the Skip's Tire stores. There's one guy in particular, John, whose customer I am, so I follow him from store to store. John has always been helpful with my questions. When he hasn't been there, I've called him at other stores, and he's been helpful explaining things to others. For example, he'll explain if a quoted price is not correct. Skip's is always willing to meet or beat any tire price you bring to them. I found them after calling around in search of the best value, and that has been what I have found. more

I've worked with Skip's Tire for 2-3 years. They're great and in the past, it's understandable that at times there have been some issues, but not many. But they've always taken care of it afterwards and that's the important thing. more

Skip's Tire is close to my house, so that's how I heard about them. They do all kinds of repairs and they are reliable. Their prices are competitive and they are honest when it comes to repairs. Everything turned out good and I never had any complaints. more

Competitively priced and great service. 3/9/2012

I have been a customer of Skip's Tire located at Blossom Hill Road since 1976. They have always been all 5's in my book! I should get a commission for how many people I refer there. They are always up front with their customers. What they tend to do, if there is a problem after the fact, you can bring it right back to them and they'll make it right. Sometimes, especially with cars, you won't see the problem until you get in there and start working on things. It's like surgery. When I moved to San Jose 20 years ago, I tried several different places until I found Skip's Tire. I've been with them ever since. All my relatives go to Skip's as well. It's a really good place. more
