I have been getting brazilians for 6 years now in three different cities. I went to Priscilla based on other citysearch reviews and was hopeful that she would continue to provide the quality of waxes that I have had in other places that I have lived and based on having to wait 2 weeks for an appointment, I figured she was really good. I went to Priscilla 4 times, with each time being a little worse. The last time I went in I should have said something to her then because she did not do a thorough job. Every time I went in, I felt that she was rushing through the job. Like another reviewer, yes, I would be in and out of there in 5-10 minutes but that was only because she rushes through the job and makes the customer feel like she has better things to do. I don't want to be in there for 45 minutes, but when I am paying 50 dollars, I don't want to be out in 5 minutes and not happy with the results. On top of the unsatisfactory waxes, I tried to change my appointment that I had scheduled in March for April 21 to this past Friday, I was told that they no longer are open on Mondays. If nothing else, a business should pride themselves on customer service and should have called me to have me reschedule my appointment. If I hadn't called, I would have showed up on Monday for nothing. When I told the receptionist that they should call people who have Monday appointments I was told, ""Yeah, that is a good idea"" and she wouldn?t even try to fit me in on Friday. With that said, went to Aveda in Harvard Square on Friday. Katie did a great job. She was thorough, polite, friendly, and conscientious of her work. If you are used to high quality waxes, spend the extra 10 dollars and go to Aveda.
Pros: Parking
Cons: Customer service, quality of waxes
