DECOR: As confused as the website. OMG, I don't even know where to start. One wall has cow horns, going for that country look, the other wall has those fake ""vintage clocks"" that you can buy at Bed, Bath & Beyond (going for more of an old fashioned Italian(?) kitchen look, except the overall effect looks passed it instead. Those were the walls. The tables and dividers between is going for more of a bistro-ish. WTF, right? But wait, there's more! more

Love the new 16 mile house! 1/11/2008

My husband and I ate here last night under the new ownership and it was SO DELICIOUS!!!! We got there before 6pm and they have this awesome deal on Tues, Wed, and Thursday( I think) before 6pm you get a great dinner for $19. It comes with either a petite cut of Prime rib, catch of the day, or chicken a la 16 (which I got and was blown away by all the flavors and tenderness of the chicken). Plus a soup or salad. Then two choices of sides ( I got fresh veggies and a baked potato, so yummy). And there is more, you get a cup of ice cream for dessert. ALL of that for $19!!! more

Leg of Lamb <> awesome 12/12/2007

My husband and I have been driving from Livermore to Millbrae for many years to feast on the Leg of Lamb at Sixteen Mile HOuse. It had been about a year since last we made the drive, and with our 28 Wedding Anniv. approaching we called to make reservations. IT was then we learned of the new owner and remodel. We were more than impressed - not only with the remodel..but with the new chef! Come and enjoy this terrific place - the Leg of Lamb is as wonderful as we remember...others' in our party had slamon, prime rib, stroganogh and loved every bite. The soup was out of this world. The New Sixteen Mile House is Awesome! 11/16/2007

NEW OWNER PETE HAS CREATED A WINNER. GREAT FOOD. THE LAMB AND signature BEEF STROGANOF lives up to billing. We got great service and excellent ambience(atmosphere) from the redecorated interior to the piano bar. We were part of a ten member party and was visited by the chef (formerly the executive chef from ""The House Of Prime Rib"")nice touch. more

Bad, Reallllly Bad 6/12/2005

Sad how obvious the only other review in here was written by an employee or owner of this joint. This place was a joke. This place is really a Beer Bar that happens to sell some food. The woman who ""served"" us acted angry we were there (2:00 in the afternoon), left us sitting, we had to ask for everything, she never smiled once and basically shared her miserable attitude with everyone. Tried to have a quick late lunch with as business associate...food was SO bad there no words to describe! I already wasted more time writing this than the place is worth. Amazed they are in business...must be because the property is so valuable, they can pay their bills. Pros: A little "history" Cons: Everything else more
