Blown off and going elsewhere 5/3/2008

We met and I was impressed but there was no follow though and response was slow. We really felt forgotten and like our project wasn't good enough for their attention. Cons: response more

professionalism 10/3/2007

Typically i don't take time to write comment reviews for any subcontractors i use at my home, but i had to put the exceptional comments for Sitescapes, LLC. As an engineer myself, i thought their knowledge of drainage, erosion, and structural integrity of house was very current and they were aware of the code of ordinances, in this case Town of Cary, for my house. They also finished the work within schedule and were very proactive in communicating. I would recommend them to anyone and their pricing was in line with other quotes we received. Pros: honesty, professional integrity Cons: none more

sitescapes project management 10/3/2007

i have to say that the onsite project managers for 2 sitescapes projects i have completed now with them, were very talented and knowledgeable about their trade. I used Greenscapes and Proscapes on two previous projects at my Apex home and my sisters Holly Springs home office and found that they could not compete in price, scheduling, and final product. I think if you are reading this and trying to decide on Sitescapes, to definately go with them because of their overall qualities compared to other companies. In additoin i went to their website site-scapes and saw that both owners are degreed engineers and they are licensed engineers in civil engineering and also general contractors. it just made sense that they were the right selection. Pros: experience and qualifications Cons: really none that were worth mentioning more

Surprised 10/2/2007

I have had some very bad experiences in the past with contractors taking my money and not showing up to contractors doing very bad workmanship. I was at first weary of using another contractor to do my work after past experiences but after meeting Mark and Brian, I was very impressed with their attention to detail and technical expertise in retaining walls, drainage and landscaping. They gave me a proposal within 2 days of meeting with me, I signed the contract and they did the work within 2 weeks exactly how it was explained to me. I feel better knowing that there is a legitimate contractor in the area and I will use them again. Pros: Reliability Cons: None more

Good design; no execution at all. Look elsewhere for landscaping... 9/22/2007

We wanted to have a complete master plan and much of the work done for our home by mid-summer '07, so we started with consult in late January '07. The designer met us at our home, was very nice and professional, and took several notes and planned to get back to us in 6 weeks. 6 week, 7, then 8 weeks went by and we called and left a message. At 9 weeks, Mark Mcgrath (Sitescapes owner) called to say his designer had quit and gave us a choice: get our money back and go elsewhere, or wait 2 weeks and he would have a new designer aboard. If we stayed with him, he would make us #1 project priority. So we stayed, and finally 3 weeks later the new designer had to come back out and repeat the consult (since no notes were left behind from the first designer). It's now May and time is running short. At mid-June, the new Master plan was finally ready for review and Cody Yandle had down a decent job of capturing what we wanted in the design. The final blue print was delivered in early July and we were VERY anxious to get things moving. We were told Mark Mcgrath would contact us for the hardscape contract. Another 3-4 weeks went by before we finally got a response. (Remember we were the "#1 priority"...) We even went so far to make elevation contour map on our own to assist Mark in his project estimate for retaining walls as designed in the Master plan. While it only took 1 week for the estimate to come back, we noticed it did not account for two additional walls that were in the Master Plan. Mark promised a revised proposal within the week but we never heard back. It is now mid-September and I asked if this was going to happen or not. Mark finally sends an email asking to be withdrawn as a hardscape contractor for our project. It is now late September, and their #1 project has yet to have anything beyond a Master plan completed. We're happy with the design, but can't say anything nice about actual work accomplished since they never got around to it. Pros: Decent master landscape plan Cons: Could not stick to schedule as promised. Unreliable, Unresponsive. more

Excellence 6/22/2005

Thats all I have to say, EXCELLENCE. I have worked with many contractors on my new house that I am having built. Sitescapes, LLC is the only contractor who has made me feel releived. I knew the work was being done correctly and they did exactly as they promised. I will recommend them to anyone. more
