So after reading all the bad reviews on this place, I'll go ahead and add my own. MY GOODNESS. I should have trusted my gut instinct. I am usually timid and never the one to put my foot down and say what I actually feel but it was SO bad. From start to finish, the entire experience was not one that resembled anything that had to do with a spa. I approached the counter and had to wait for the two ladies to finish their gossip to themselves, and somehow I got sucked into it. I told them I wanted a facial so the woman took me to the back where she then tried convincing me over and over again to get the more expensive facials. By the third try I was already hating the experience. Then she added on, that she wouldn't charge me the full amount because I am Armenian (like her) REALLY?! What kind of business are you running here? If I were Mexican, Caucasian or Chinese, I'd get charged more?! How completely and utterly offensive! Then came the actual facial itself. If I wasn't waiting over 10 minutes for the steamer part to end, I was waiting 15 minutes for the mask to dry. I've been to spas where the entire hour is spent catering to the customer. She was in, she was out, the lights were turned on and off multiple times and I was stressed more than relaxed. When the facial wasn't being interrupted by various things, it was spent with her accusing me of creating the acne on my face. ""You use lotion? THAT'S BAD You use makeup too much? BAD BAD"" When using the tools she scraped my face until I was red. She was going so quickly, she scraped the metal tool into my GUMS. She dipped her hands into a tub instead of using a stick to apply the mask. Unsanitary! It also got in my hair and eyes. SERIOUSLY!? I patiently waited till this horrid facial was over and went and paid like the good customer I am. NEVER AGAIN. Although the red scrapes from my face have disappeared, there are now white heads popped up all over my face. Simply terrible experience. more

Hair Bleaching/Toning: I asked for the roots to be touched up only. I have been bleaching my hair and toning it for over 10 years and purchasing all my products at Sally?s Beauty Supply. I purchase my 20 volume cream developer, red/gold corrector, bleach packet, toner and supplies. I put the bleach with the developer and corrector on my hair for 40 minutes and rinse it out. I then with wet hair put developer, corrector and toner and mix it up and then apply for 20 minutes. The result is very soft hair that is platinum, white as snow yet very soft. However even though I usually spend $20.00 at Sally?s I have been tired of cutting my hair short because of the damage the bleach produces and have been growing it out for 4 months. I have been going to VIP Salon and seeing Max in Palmdale, California at the Antelope Valley Mall. He only puts bleach on the roots. This woman doing my hair said she would only do the roots. She did the entire head! If I wanted my whole head covered in bleach I would have done it myself! While bleaching, she slopped it on and talked to other customers as she had the bleach/cream mixture in her hand. She argued with other staff in front of her customers and she also took 2 haircuts while trying to do my hair. I expected with bleach you would sit there and monitor the hair. She did not set a timer and she left it on too long and my hair is like cotton now and I have had to cut out 4 months of growth. After bleaching she washed it out and it was still a little yellow and I asked her about the toner twice. She ignored me about the toner and I said finally you need to do the toner because I do not want this cheap bleach blonde over the counter drug store look. I know what it should look like. I told her quietly I did not like my hair and she said I needed to be quiet because I was upsetting her. She then proceeded to dump the toner in a bowl with water and dumped it on my head. The result was a bright purple. She washed it out and then I said why is my hair purple? Can you fix this? She said it was my fault that I did not need the toner and I forced her to do it. I told her to take a gold based toner and put about 2 ounces of cream developer with it and it would make it an ash color. Not only would she not fix it, she would not give me a discount, and she did not throw in any free products. I paid her good money and she was negligent with my beautiful platinum hair. I was also yelled at that I was stupid in front of all the other customers. She then asked me if I threw a tantrum at all the salons. I looked at my 8 year old son and he said no, no one has ever done this to my mom?s hair and not fixed it. I then went to Sally?s Beauty Supply on 10th Street in Palmdale, California and consulted with the colorist Eleanor. She sees me a lot and when she saw my awful purple hair she said it was gross incompetence and get my money back. She assisted me in getting the appropriate gold based toner for my hair. I spent another $20.00 and it took 10 minutes and now my hair is an Ash Color that I asked for. more

A few months ago I was in Burbank with my daughter and while we were walking, we chanced upon this place. There was an ad outside saying that facials are only $60 so i decided to give it a try. I went in and 2 ladies came out (I think they were mother and daughter) and said they'll do the facial and they will also give me an eyebrow wax since they said I need one and they do it really good. And my daughter decided she'll get a manicure. So I had my brow waxed first (the older lady was doing it), then the facial and when she was doing my facial the lady asked me if I want a microdermabrasion too. I asked her how much and she told me it's not that much so I said ok go ahead. The facial she gave me was the MOST TERRIBLE facial I have ever gotten because she wasn't gentle with my face and the products that she used smelled really weird and old. It was really terribly done. Now don't get me wrong I am not being picky but for that same amount I can get a really really good facial (Oh! u! in Glendale) and as a professional spa goer i know that the service she was giving me really sucked but i kept quiet because i just want it to be over with so we can leave that place. But the surprise didn't end there because when we were about to pay she charged me $35 for the eyebrow wax, $30 for my daughter's manicure and $120 for my facial(because she said it included microdermabrasion). So that's $185 total! (not including the tip). Because I'm not one to throw fits, especially in front of my daughter, I said ok I'll just charge it on my card. The 2 ladies then insisted that I at least pay HALF of it in CASH and the tip be given IN CASH. I couldn't believe it but I don't want to make a scene and I thought it's only money but I left swearing never to return again and vowed to tell people about this experience. I don't know if this is their modus operandi but please stay away from this place because after getting their service you feel that you've been robbed. Pros: nothing Cons: the stuff will rob you blind more

I have minimum requirement for haircut. Just make it short and neat. more

Watch out for THEIR ""SPECIAL HAIRCUT"". Maybe I misread their advertisement board, but what claimed to be a almost $15 woman's haircut, turned out to be a almost $60 NOT so SPECIAL HAIRCUT. If a had only known, I would have gone to an better salon that was worth it. Never again! Anyone know of a great stylist in the Burbank area? more
