Sir Vac and Sew

Just picked up my vacuum tonight and immediately went home to try it out. It is up and running like new again. I was very impressed with the service and fast turn around of Sir Vac. If anything goes wrong again I know I have a good place to take it in to. more

After looking around town at different places to buy a vacuum I found Sir Vac and I could not have been more pleased with the service I received. I read some reviews online before I went and I was a little nervous but they could not have been further from the truth. Rhonda greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and walked me through all of the different options they have to choose from. She was very honest and open with me and I really appreciated that. After that first day I went and shopped around but ended up returning to Sir Vac to purchase my vacuum because of the service they gave me. I will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends. more

Took my vacuum in because I was experiencing a suction problem. They had it up and running again in a few days! I will definitely be back! more

I always bring my Miele vacuum in for service and I am very pleased with how the staff at Sir Vac & Sew takes care of me. I have had the same vacuum for over 7 years now and it still works like the day I got it. I would definitely recommend getting your vacuum serviced with them they know what they are doing. My great grandmother had someone drive her to drop off her vacuum to be serviced. She requested that they call her and let her know how much it was going to be. Over the next several days she called a couple of times for a status update and got the runaround and no call backs so she asked me to drive her in. Unfortunately for her, she made the mistake of taking a very inexpensive vacuum ($50 new) for repair instead of just purchasing a new one. My great grandmother is 93 years old and legally blind so often has to rely on assuming that others will treat her with honesty and kindness. That did not happen here. They ""fixed"" her vacuum by charging her $68 for a new filter and belt. When she protested that the cost was more than the vacuum was new, the woman told her that if she didn't want to pay expensive repair costs that she should ""stop buying cheap vacuums that require filter replacement"" and that it was her fault because she had ""obviously"" vacuumed up something that clogged a hose (really?!). When I insisted that they really should've given her an estimate before completing the work, the woman retorted that if she had been clear about wanting an estimate they would have charged her $39 up front. She was sarcastic and abrasive. No apologies for the misunderstanding, etc. Everyone there that touched her machine knew without a doubt that the repair cost was going to be more than the vacuum was worth and nobody thought it appropriate to call her and give her the choice to not have the work completed - which is probably why she got the runaround when she called. So much for customer service and basic manners. We will never go back here again. more

Nightmare Service. Could relate with Joan.P experience below. Rhonda uses your vac to clean her dirty-carpet to estimate the quality of the vac. Almost omit from the smell of the location inside a open trailer.Will never near this smelly, dusty, 'sew'er place. Worst experience servicing my Oreck Vac and glad I walked out as soon as I could. Felt, it is a disgrace to Oreck to have them as one of local servicing centers. more

Great store, the best place to shop for a vacuum or get one repaired. They know everything about vacuums, and I would have made some expensive mistakes without their help. If you need a vacuum, this place is the best. more

I only went here because Hoover listed it as their local service center. It is like entering the Twilight Zone. I dropped off a sweeper not even 1 year old. Never was I told of any cost to evaluate it. When a woman called back, she told me my sweeper was full of powder and they really had to dig it all out. I said I never use powder. I also had just cleaned out the sweeper when I was searching for why my belt kept breaking. more

This lady Rhonda can lie like no other.....Funny how she can continue tell the Better Business Bureau and the Florida Dept of Agrigulture & Consumer Services lies & they don't do anything about it. 90% of the reviews I have read, all describe Rhonda the same way, a rude person & liar. But she thinks she is not doing anything wrong. The other 10% positive reviews are written by Sir Vac & Sew. Stay away from this place. more

seems like everytime there is a negative post about this company, there is a phony post made to counter act the negitive post.....All the postive reviews are made by the company itself...Don't be fooled more

I wanted to let everyone know I just purchased 3 Hoover conquest vacuums from Sir Vac and Sew last week. I love them and so does our housekeeping dept. I have been doing business with this company for 20 years and each and everytime their service blow us away. more

I personally hated cleaning until I discovered Sir Vac and its staff. What a great group of people. They showed me how to make cleaning fun and easy. I purchased my first real vacuum from them and it is total quality. Not the junk you find in department stores (plastic, cheap, junk). I paid a little more and found a vacuum with terrific suction and its all metal...The Royal. I feel like royalty using this powerful, commercial quality machine and now I am not uncomfortable about going barefoot in my own home. My new Royal Canister is great for dusting the A/C vents, and my Hummer, and Lexus. Happy New Year to me! I would definitely recommend going to these people for proper cleaning instruction. more

I have used a Royal for the past 16 years and was wondering if they still made them cause I wanted a new one. I went to Sir Vac with my wife and I purchased the upright and canister package for under 400.00 what a relief. My wife was worried about dust but we found out they now make HEPA paper bags for the canister and upright. We are thrilled. I am so glad we found this vac shop. Love the new vacs. Great little business if your trying to learn how to properly clean a home. I purchased a Royal Steam Vac and have never had any problems with it after 6 years. Yesterday I went back and worked with Rhonda, the owner and she sold me what I think is the best vacuum I have ever owned...a Sanitaire upright with a mini canister. My family loves it and we are now ready to clean our home. more

I wanted an new Vacuum and Sewing Machine for Christmas cause my old ones were handed down to my son recently when he got his first apartment. Thank God for Sir Vac and Sew in Fern Park. We have done business here for the last 6 years and were fairly surprised at the top quality service and attention the gave to my husband and I. We ended up purchasing a new Miele and a new Royal upright package...what an amazing team of machines. Now my husband does the vacuum cause he loves the Royal and the maid does a much better job dusting with the Miele canister. I was also wanting to replace my old Necci Sewing Machine and found a great deal on a more up to date machine. Rick and Rhonda the owners have been doing this business their entire lives and know their stuff. They were both very informational and we feel confident that both my son and his new wife and My husband and I will continue to receive many more years of great service. My Husband and I went shopping for a new vacuum and discovered this shop on 17-92 in Fern Park Florida...what an amazing place to do business. Rick was outstanding with the explanation of how to change the bag and belt on our machine. While there we discovered the Miele canisters and are so pleased with our purchace. Can't wait to shop their sewing machines next. Good Service is not a thing of the past. more

took my coughing, wheezing, tired vacuum cleaner here the other day after having left it out in the yard over night to get rained on just to test the expertise of Central Vacuum. Since I only use the vacuum to suck up the cat hair that wafts through my house on a constant basis from the three cats that have taken up residence here, I figured that when it stopped sucking so much that might have something to do with it. Turns out, I was right! I took the vacuum in and got it back the same day. It was so shiny and clean when I picked it up that I thought I had lucked out and he swapped it with a new one! I kind of felt like I was getting away with something, he only charged $60!!! I put it to the test...the one carpet in the house, not vacuumed for more than a week. Worked like a dream! What more can I say? more

I have been a customer of Sir Vac and Sew since I was a child going to shop for a new vacuum meant one thing...we would be buying top of the line, quality. We Love our Royal all metal vacuum and the service is minimal...recently I took my college age daughter to Sir Vac and they sold her a vacuum for her dorm...all the girls love it and now I know she will continue to use them. Wow.What an amazing little store...we were so glad to hear about their new building going up in 2012. Yippie. more

Loved the outstanding service, and will continue to shop with them for all my Vacuum and Sewing machine needs. Rhonda was very helpful after picking up my Singer Sewing machine. This is the most disreputable company I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. The woman at the front desk is rude (she hung up on me no less than twice in one day). They are also dishonest. I was quoted $69.95 for a service to my Singer sewing machine and was told it would be ready the next day. When I called the following day, she had no idea what i was talking about and told me she would get right back to me. I never heard from her the rest of the day. I called the next morning right after they opened and spoke to a man, who told me that he would work on my machine that morning. Several hours later I received a call to say that my machine was ready and that my bill was $106. I just about had a fit. I told her that she had quoted me $69.95 and that I was not happy. She told me that she would call me back and then proceded to hang up on me. Five minutes later she called back to say that they were going to give me a discount. She told me that my bill was now $93 before tax. When I asked her what my total was with the tax, she told me that she would tell me that when I picked up my machine and then proceded to hang up on me again. I am writing this review, because I am absolutely livid. One day after picking up my machine and paying over $100 (yup, the so-called discount was only $6 - Big whoop!!), my machine is broken again. Tomorrow, I'll be taking my machine in to a company that I take sewing classes at and that I know will not rip me off. Sir Vac and Sew will never see me or my money again. Beware of doing business with this company. If not now, you can be sure you'll get ripped off in the future. I agree with a previous reviewer. I wish there were a ZERO rating because that's what they deserve. more
