I've had a great experience! Signature's courteous staff promptly responded to my inquiries. I'm looking forward to working with this agency for a long time.

1. We were fooled into getting a "13 month" lease instead of a 12 month lease by vague wording. Usual story, we were in a hurry and didn't read the lease as close as we should...

Rental in Edmond OK 8/21/2010

Decent home - duplex in Edmond, OK, not too well maintained. Price-wise - average. Cheaper homes available on the same street.\r Make sure you document and complain about everything when you move in - take photos - so they can not blame you. Signature realty is very slow to respond when you need anything - and extremely fast when it's in their favor. Never leave phone messages, make sure you have everything in writing. They excuse their lack of professionalism on employee fluctuation.\r Checkout of house: I had carpets cleaned and lawn mowed - they deducted for the services from my deposit. I asked many times to get a written check-out report - I received it after 45 days with deposit return check - less the deduction for the above services. I consider this holding back the information - so they can keep the money.\r Snakes and insects crawling into the house.\r Would recommend to a friend: NO\r Would recommend as a real estate agent: I don't believe in their professional skills - especially Michelle from the husband - wife team. I wanted to stay longer as the term (one year) and use them as a realtor. They answered (after 2 weeks calling) that I'll have to pay 150% of the lease - and can stay only for one month. Later when I confronted them they said they did not understand. Despite I left numerous phone messages and sent E-mails as well. Their answer: somebody will get back to you. Nobody did.\r I'm extremely happy that I did not use Signature as my realtor. I bought a house within 2 weeks using somebody else. more

Degrading employees 5/18/2010

I did not actually rent from this business because the woman on the phone was so rude to me I could not even aquire information about her listing. I contacted the business to see if a rental was still available, the square footage of the property and if they allowed pets. \r \r I was never allowed to even ask my questions. The woman asked me 20 questions about my personal life and decided that in her opinion the property was too small for my family. My partner has two sons, ages 4 and 6, that she adopted out of the foster care system. The woman also suggested that we could not afford the property due to the fact the our current rent was much lower. She did not ask me where I was employeed or how much I make a year. She assumed that because I am a student, in a graduate program for my masters in psychology, that I must not have a job or one that could possibly pay $850 in rent. Which, by the way, is on the lower end for rentals in Edmond. \r \r We are trying to provide the best for our family that we can at this time. I do not know of anyone who would not want to give their family everything they possibly can. Including their own room, a nice back yard to play in, maybe a playroom or a home office. Most young families just starting out have to scale it back a bit. I just cannot believe that she was telling me what size of a house is best for my family of four. I am not sure if I was a victim of bigotry or just plain stupidity! Pros: Quick response back to my phone call. Cons: Did not give requested information, disparagement more

Rented our house thru them. They keep on charging us for unrequired maintenence. \r They charged us $195 to change the bathroom lights and $800 for freon last summer for the house which was built in end of 2004.\r Every month it's onething after other which usually cost $150 -$250.\r In almost two years I think we have got a check for a whole amount maybe twice I would have understand if it was a older house but the house is built in end of 2004. more

House fire in January 08, left us homeless so our insurance housing authority recommended a house listed from them. The rent listed for $1,095 on the website, but the lease listed for $1,395 plus $25.00 for the use of the refrigerator. We agreed because we didn't have any another alternative. We also had a security deposit of $1,395 plus a nonrefundable pet deposit of $350.00. After we gave our 30-day notice on August 8th, realtors started showing the house. They suggested we change the air filters after their maintenance person mention we could leave the filters up to 3 months. Light bulbs needed to be replaced in the kitchen and they were suggesting that we change the lights immediately. \r \r For anyone who wants to rent from these individuals please read over their lease agreement very carefully. We cleaned and deodorized the carpets with Elite Cleaners whom they suggest and now they want to replace the carpet in the entire house. Which costs $2,700, so they have kept our security deposit and is expecting us to pay the additional amount of $1,305.\r \r I would not suggest renting from these realtors to anyone in the Oklahoma City or Edmond area. We have contacted our housing authority insurance company recommending not to use them for future business needs. They are in the business not to repair anything in the rental houses but to have their residents pay for them. more
