Full bath remodel, demo to studs, tub to shower conversion, custom cabinets, framless glass shower doors, bench and nitch inside shower, new faucets/grab bar/soap dish in shower, new sinks, faucets, granite countertop, plumbing, tile on floors, fully tiled to ceiling in shower, baseboards tiled, painted walls and ceiling, removed ceiling popcorn, electrical and lighting in shower and closet, mirrors, towel racks, etc. Had laundry room cabinets painted also. Estimate about the same as other bidders, but SHI was going to do it in half the time, I hired them for that not knowing until the job was completed - on time - that they are excellent. They provide stress free high-quality work and are worth every penny. SHI runs like a well-oiled machine with impressive scheduling and a noticeably professional staff. I was kept informed daily of all upcoming work. I'm remodeling my home one room at a time and Signature Home Improvements is by far the best contractor I've ever worked with and who I will use in the future. SHI remodeled our old shower into a beautiful walk in. he worked with us on the design and were very cooperative with issues we had and things we wanted done. They worked with us so we could use tile left from the original construction of the house. Final project exceeds our expectation. Employees were professional and easy to work with. We recently had a wonderful experience with our kitchen remodel by SHI. This was a process that we took a lot of time to research, and we are very pleased that we chose SHI to use for the remodel. The initial bid was for cabinets to be stained, custom cabinet around a new counter depth refridge, back splash, granite counter top, removal of florescent box kitchen light, 12 can lights in kitchen and living room with new wall dimmer switches, under-cabinet lighting, in ceiling surround sound speakers , and finally painting the kitchen and living room. After some more thinking we also re tiled the fireplace and replaced our floors (hardwood, carpet and tile). Basically a whole downstairs remodel. We signed the papers in June 2011, but we did not want to start the work until Labor Day time. We spent the summer time picking out all the materials so when the work was to begin everything was ordered and there would be no material surprises. We took our time picking it all out, matching the granite to backsplash and cabinet colors etc. (This was much harder than we had anticipated. ) Prior to the first full work day we had a few people stop by for measurements and the electrician, Charles came to mark for placements of all the can lights (we have a 2 story house so it was not so easy). The demo group of employees; Amador, Humberto, Tara, Charles also came to check out what type of layout and work was to be done. Tara was early and came in and started working even before her peers arrived, you can tell this team works together well. Once the demo was complete any sheet rock that needed repair was done and the new paint went all the walls (Amador, Humberto). When the cabinets were stained the scheduling of the staining was very mindful of our family, we did not want the fumes in the house over the weekend, so they waited until Monday to start the spray to make sure as few people were home as possible. SHI also made sure to bring many big fans and let us keep them for a few days to keep the fumes ventilated from the house. The 2 people that spent the most time at the house were Martin and Lonny. The tile guys- they did a fabulous job! Martin had some great suggestions on laying our backsplash and did a stellar job. Both Martin and Lonny laid the floor (travertine brick pattern with minimal grout lines), this took about 5 days. They were both always early to arrive and were very courteous to work with, very often keys were left out for them to come in and work in the house without any concern. The custom cabinet is beautiful, though we did have a few concerns with its finished dimensions. Every time our concerns were discussed and the issue was resolved ASAP. Ventura, Carlos, Armanzo, & Adam were great to work with for the cabinetry and took the time to add the hardware and make sure everything was right down to the last day. This brings up the communication level: I give SHI a A+ on communication, Savannah who works in the office was our point of contact, is wonderful to work with. We received a daily phone call from her on how the work progressed and who and what would be happing the next work day. E-mail was our main form of communication, often with status pictures. Be sure and request that Savannah handles your build! Overall I would not hesitate to suggest SHI to my family or friends. Top class operation. Workers who know their trade. All items handled in house (ie no subcontractors to worry about), plus all the workers were very accountable for the job they did and the company stands by their work!! We are happy and our downstairs looks fabulous, we cannot wait to use them on another home project. more

We recently moved into a house with a kitchen that dated from 1962 and definitely showed its age. Because the layout of the kitchen was great, we decided that refacing the cabinets would be the way to go. Jason helped us to make decisions as we chose the style and color of the cabinets, granite countertops, and tile backsplash. His team was great and we couldn't have been more pleased with the result. We expected a better kitchen but instead wound up with a beautiful kitchen. In addition to the cabinets, countertops and backsplash, Jason's crew replaced a window and a light fixture. All of the work was done quickly and efficiently. We would definitely hire Signature again if we had more work to be done. more

Signature recently renovated both our master and guest bathrooms. We are VERY happy with the final product! Last year we had Signature remodel our kitchen and didn't think twice to call Jason and his team back to work on our bathrooms. They worked with us to stay within budget and still get the majority of the work done that we wanted. I have nothing but great things to say about SHI. I was looking for a company to manage my whole kitchen remodel from start to finish. I am a working Mom and don't have time to project manage these things. I had all my cabinets replaced, granite counter tops, new sink and new back splash. So many things to like!!! The company - they are local and small. Everyone is professional and very experienced. Best of all, they are responsive and caring. Project Mgmt - They have 3 people that project manage all their projects and they did a fabulous job coordinating all the different groups (electrician, cabinets, counters, plumber..etc.) Design - LOVE IT! They have great experience in designing what I wanted. They had very good suggestions and listed to everything I wanted. I had last minute changes and they were able to execute without making me feel like I was putting them out. They were eager to please and do what I needed. Employees - Everyone that came into my house was VERY professional and very experienced. They were all very respectful of me and my house and were VERY clean. When I came home each day, I never saw a mess, I was just delighted with the progress. They hire top notch employees.. OH.. YES they are employees! They don't outsource! I will use SHI for all home improvements going forward. I just wish there were more companies like this! more

We hired Signature Home to install granite in the kitchen. We are pleased and happy with the work done and the professional behavior of the staff. Jason, Linda, Tomas & Ventura are all very courteous and professional. In the future if we need any other work in the house we know who to call. We finally gutted the boring builder's kitchen and replaced it with our dream kitchen. After seeing four kitchens produced by Signature, we knew their level of detail would meet our expectations. Signature combined our design input with their design and building expertise to produce a gorgeous, functional new space that has us saying "we love it" every time we walk into the room. Creamy white painted cabinets topped with dark brown granite are perfectly offset by the espresso-stained island with white marble counter. We incorporated lots of handy details like trash pullouts, cleaning robot cubbies, disposal air switch, roll-out trays in door cabinets, and primarily drawers in lower cabinets. Signature's craftsmen were prompt, courteous and skilled. The project did increase in expense due to modifications along the way. Communication issues about upcharges were the only major complaint that we had, whereas the actual work went pretty smoothly. Daily scheduling calls and clean up made life easier in the midst of a construction zone. We would utilize their services again, and have already requested a bid for cabinetry/bookcases in our adjacent family room. more

We have had Signature in our home twice, once for cabinet re-facing and now for granite. We have been very pleased with the quality, workmanship and price both times. Jason, Linda, Savannah, Armondo, and all the other people that we have had contact with are professional, courteous and very eager to help with any request. Signature Home Improvements just completed a kitchen remodel for me including cabinet staining, new flooring, new countertops, new backsplash, new lighting and even custom built and installed an island. I plan to use this company again in the future and would recommend them to anyone. The end result is beautiful and the entire process went smoother than I ever would have expected. Everyone that I dealt with was extremely courteous and accommodating and the work that was done was top quality. Although I was at work while most of the work was being done, I was kept informed of the progress daily and never once had to track anyone down to see what was going on. They also cleaned up every day so I didn't have a mess to come home to. I am thoroughly amazed that I was able to end up with such a beautiful new kitchen without any hassle. Let me start by saying that Jason and crew did an excellent job with our counter tops. I felt that each employee was handpicked for their professionalism and courteousness. They were very patient and accommodating with our various requests and fulfilled each one of them. My wife's pregnant and we wanted to get the work done when we were not home and they worked weekends to satisfy this. When we got back, it was a new kitchen!! They had done a good job cleaning up the place as well. I would definitely call them for our next project. more

In July, 2011, Signature Home Improvements completed the remodel of my master bathroom. It was a gut job with all new tile, wall texture, paint, custom vanity and storage cabinet, new soaking tub and fixtures. They were fast and professional. They always showed up on time. They worked around the few delays we had, doing whatever they could each day to keep the project moving toward completion. I am extremely happy with the end product. I love the tile selections, the new vanity and love, love, love the new soaking tub. My home was built in '82 and hadn't been updated since it was built. Needless to say, it was a complete transformation. Beautiful! I have recommended SHI to several of my friends. more

We LOVE Signature Home Improvements! My husband and I bought a 36 year old condo in Lakeway with a less than functional kitchen-no counter space, and what was there was not so appealing to the eye, no backsplash, outdated fixtures and so on. Signature Home Improvements did a FANTASTIC job giving out kitchen a beautiful face-lift without breaking the bank. They were challenged by the walls and floors not being level and they just took it in stride. I would highly recommended them to anyone! Signature Home Improvement did a fantastic job tinting out 16 year old kitchen cabinets. As many homes with older kitchen cabinets, the cabinets were looking their age. The area around the sink varnish was flaking and the stain was gone. The rest of the cabinets just looked dull. I saw a Signature advertisement in the Elegant living magazine. It mentioned that Signature did cabinet tinting. Our cabinets were all wood and in very good shape so there was no reason to replace them. We also had Silestone counter tops that we wanted to keep. I sent Signature an e-mail to find out what cabinet tinting was. Signature scheduled a time for Jason to drop by and look at the cabinets and explain the process. It was just what we were looking for. Signature kept us informed every step of the way. The office staff would call with information on the project or to let us know when staff needed access to the house. Every Signature employee that worked in the house was professional and curtious. Everyone that worked on our cabinets at the Signature facility and in our house did a fantastic job. The project was completed in two weeks. After the tinting was completed, the doors and drawers installed, and the new hardware added, all we could say was “Wow!”. The cabinets look brand new. Signature Home Improvements performs the most outstanding work I have ever seen in home remodeling. Not only are all of their employees perfectionists and highly skilled in their particular area, but they are speedy in performing every task. Last month (April) they completed a TOTAL (floor to ceiling) remodel of my kitchen in just TWO WEEKS!! There were a few "tweaks" after the two weeks, but the kitchen was essentially completely finished in two weeks. Every afternoon I would get a call from one of the highly efficient and organized office employees that would tell me who was coming the next morning and what they would be doing. They would always arrive on time. One of the biggest advantages to using SHI is the fact that they don't use sub-contractors. Jason Flippo, the company president, has 20 employees who are accountable to him so they are extremely responsible and professional. Jason goes out of his way to accommodate the homeowner. When we were selecting granite, he took a few minutes away from his company Christmas party to meet us at the granite store. His kitchen designer, Armanzo, offered fantastic ideas to make my kitchen the most functional and user-friendly that it could possibly be. When the job was finished Armanzo pulled on every hinge and examined the entire kitchen (almost with a magnifying glass!) to be sure everything was perfect. He put "blue tape" in areas that looked just fine to me.....but he had to be totally pleased. I actually plan to carry Signature Home Improvement business cards in my purse so I can hand them out whenever I meet someone who wants a kitchen or bathroom remodel. I have never been this enthusiastic about any other business! It seems that so many people who use other contractors have nightmare stories about the quality and/or the fact that the remodel takes much longer than anticipated. Jason's crew does not start the remodel until "all their ducks are in a row". My painted cabinets (soft sage with glaze and beadboard style) were totally finished before the demo started. Each stage of the remodel was perfectly timed. Bottom line: If you want the very best work--ultimate quality at a reasonable cost--Signature Home. Improvements is your company! My husband will be adding photos of my kitchen to these comments soon. I will be happy to show “before” photos and I think my kitchen should be featured on HGTV! more

This was a complete transformation of our kitchen, requiring a total demolition of the existing kitchen to make room for new flooring, cabinets, some plumbing and electrical work, and new appliances. Fur-downs that were above the old cabinets were removed requiring wiring to be re-routed to correct original builder shortcuts. We brought in a line for a new gas cooktop (replacing electical). SHI installed new travertine flooring in a Versailles pattern, and we ran this flooring into the dining room and down a hallway past the main entrance to the house. SHI also built and installed custom maple cabinets stained in a color that was custom formulated to match tones in our granite. They cut and installed granite countertops and a travertine backsplash was added above the granite in a brick pattern. SHI also installed 2 new sinks (kitchen & laundry room) and associated plumbing and added a small fixed window between two glass-door cabinets above what is now our beverage center. Finally, SHI added an architectural feature of arches with three columns above the counters that separate the kitchen from the great room. SHI started when they said they would, they held to the schedule they predicted, their workers arrived at the times we were told, got right to work and stayed with it throughout the day. They estimated six weeks; it took about seven but most of that extra week was caused by delays waiting for permits and inspections from the city. The quality of workmanship is excellent. They were always professional and respectful of the fact that we had to live right in the middle of the destruction that this remodel required. All the work was done by craftsmen employed directly by SHI. The only outside contractors that were involved were the gas plumbing and installation of the glass in the three cabinet doors. This was in large part a deciding factor in choosing them and it proved to be of inestimable benefit when issues arose with coordination of specialties and last minute changes. It allowed for a sense of security that if there was a problem it would be taken care of. SHI was not the cheapest of all our bids (we had several) but we felt that having all the workmen employed by the main contractor would be a great advantage and, in the end, we feel this proved to be a great advantage and did enhance the quality of our experience with this project, which was our very first experience with home remodeling. Finally, a bit about working with Jason Flippo, founder of SHI. Once the work began Jason's day-to-day involvement in our progress became less visible but he was always available, gave us his personal cell phone number, and welcomed our call any time we had a question. He followed up with us frequently to insure we were satisfied, sometimes even on the weekend, asking if we had any concerns, and generally stayed up to date on our level of satisfaction about the work and the performance of all his workers. In addition, on occasions when we had issues about cost, design, approach - anything we were concerned about - he showed sincere interest in resolving our concerns to our satisfaction. Overall, we're very pleased with SHI and we will use them again when the time comes. We can highly recommend Signature Home Improvements for a kitchen remodel. They were not the cheapest but we feel that in the end, they provided the best value for the money and we are delighted with the results. We love our new kitchen. more
