Jason and his crew are very professional, hard working with great attention to details. Every one in the company strives to get the work done perfectly, on time, and they all have great pride in what they do - rightly so. Their scheduling is prompt, Mimi and Linda are on top of the process and in touch for every detail and for all our concerns. We are very, very pleased with the final look of the bathroom and their price is reasonable. For the one missing star above (it should really be 1/2 only) - we wish the contract would be more clear and itemized with detailed pricing. more

Signature did a full kitchen remodel that included removing a wall separating my kitchen from the dining room. They removed the existing cabinets, removed the furdowns where the cabinets were attached, and removed the flooring in the dining room, kitchen, utility room, and entry way. Armando helped us design the cabinets and island. He did a CAD drawing that really helped see the room at every angle. It was incredibly accurate to the finished product. They installed the new cabinets, island, flooring, electrical, plumbing, lights, granite counter tops, and back splash. They patched the drywall and painted the walls, ceiling and baseboards. They did an excellent job and I would recommend them without hesitation. They were trustworthy and reliable. Our existing kitchen was crowded and poorly designed. I have 3 kids and we couldn't move around without bumping into each other because the walkways were so narrow. I knew from the beginning, I wanted the wall removed that separated the kitchen and dining room. I knew how I wanted the kitchen to be layed out and I wanted an island. I got 3 bids and decided to go with Signature. I called some references and got positive feedback and I also liked the fact that Signature did the work themselves with minimal contracting out. The whole process dealing with Signature was a positive one from start to finish. They communicated with us every day to tell us who was coming out and what was being done and at the end of each day they cleaned up after themselves. The whole job was finished in 3 weeks. We had only minor changes to the original contract. We decided to go with Cherry wood and needed additional lighting. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. This being my first remodeling experience, I am so glad I chose Signature and we love our new kitchen! more

I am not one to write reviews....but being a single person who has never ventured into the world of home improvements I felt it important to share my incredible experience with Signature Home Improvements. I am very concerned about being taken advantage of when dealing in areas that I am not that educated in. However, the first time i met with Jason I knew right away that he would take care of me and all of concerns and do it honestly as if I was family. I had my complete kitchen re-done. From re-tinting of the cabinets, new backsplash, and granite countertops. Not only was it done QUICKLY..but everything that was promised to me from the beginning to end was done BEYOND my expectations. Not only that, but I changed my mind on a final detail at the last moment and Linda in the office RAN ALL OVER TOWN(literally) to get the final touch to my tile. To say my kitchen is beautiful would be a understatement. That is coming from a person who is beyond critical!! It is stunning...and everyone who came into my house gave me a warm, good feeling. Linda and Savannah in the office were constantly in touch with me and me feel comfortable the whole way through. if you are even considering doing any type of home imporvements. Do NOT hesitate to give signature a call!! In fact I am starting a few other projects with them already!! more

In December I contacted SHI as I wanted to change the look of my (14 year old) golden oak kitchen cabinets. They recommended their re-tint process, which was much less expensive than replacing the cabinets. Throughout the work the team was very professional. The results are amazing! My new "cafe" cabinets with added hardware has completely changed the look of my kitchen. I will be coming back to them to update my bathrooms. more

Signature did it again. In the summer of 2010 we contracted with Signature Home Improvement remodel our kitchen and it was an amazing collaboration. The job was done totally as planned and every step of the process met or exceeded our expectations. This August 2011 we went back to Signature to remodel our master bathroom. Again, we could not have been more pleased. Again the project unfolded as planned and on schedule. Linda sent me an email almost daily outlining what to expect that day. Any time I contacted her with a question she got back to me almost immediately. There was never a misunderstanding and what change charges were necessary were carefully explained and justified. Everyone on the Signature team is professional and first class. I don’t know how they do it but they far exceed any experience I have ever had with a contractor. And, there have been many. I recommend them without reservation. My only regret at this point is the fact that I have no more projects, as I have loved working with Jason and his entire team. If you have the remodel of a kitchen or bath on your agenda this is the company to use. more

They were recommended by friends and were everything they said.---- Professional, skilled, pleasant people. They all come with names, introduce themselves, and become part of the family while they are on site. A most pleasant experience compared to the usual building rangling. The bathrooms were an upgrade/update. A green cast iron tub was removed from downstairs and replaced with tile surround soaking tub and tile floor. The upstairs cast iron tub had to be sledge hammered to be able to get it down the stairs and out. Up now has all tile walkin shower and tile floor. We are very pleased. We did a complete remodel of our 12 year old master bathroom. Marble shower was replaced with travertine tile of different sizes with granite accents and glass seamless shower surround, the area around the tub was tiled with travertine, the marble sink countertops were replaced with granite, and the sinks were replaced from overmount to undermount sinks (Signature had refaced our bathroom cabinets last year) All plumbing, clean-up, gutting, and touch ups were performed by Signature. We chose Signature because of our past experiences with them when we changed our kitchen countertops with granite and tiled the backsplash. With those jobs and this job, Signature was COMPLETELY professional. We knew what was going to happen when at every step of the way. Their employees were all very professional and trustworthy (we would leave our house key with them if we had to go somewhere) not to mention extremely skilled at their job. This was especially the case with our tiler. He made recommendations on design, what would look good in his experience and what would work. In one area of our tub tiling, there was a very awkward space that he had to tile. He did it and it looks terrific. Signature answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. We have no regrets and will certainly use them again in the future. In 2007 we tried to sell our home but couldn't get a good offer. We pulled it off the market and decided to invest in having our dated kitchen remodeled. Our neighbors across the street had used Signature and loved them so we called based on their recommendation. Jason and the folks at Signature lived up to the recommendation. He helped us with choices for new counters, backsplash and refacing our cabinets. The crews were on time and professional. The finished job was gorgeous. Two years later we relisted our house (summer 2009). Even though it was a soft real estate market we sold and did decently. We wanted to find an economical way of redoing our kitchen cabinets. After failing at our manual efforts and searching various solutions, SHI's proposal sounded best to not only fit our budget, but beautify our kitchen as desired. The results were incredible! We couldn't be more pleased with the way the kitchen came out. They even had to do little repairs on some drawers as a result of age/damage to ensure they deliver the results we wanted. Signature Homes demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the technical phases of home improvement. The staff provided us with up-to-date status of work being performed. They updated our kitchen in Feb 09 and their excellent managerial ability inspired us to have them design and install custom china cabinetry with 3 halogen interior style lights,crown molding, glass shelves and glass doors in the dining room. Upper and lower cabinets had angled shelving on each end .The base cabinet had a granite top with mirror back splash and 2 electrical outlets. We were pleased that no subcontractors were used. They went above and beyond other contractors that we talked with. The performance of the entire staff is marked by steadfast dedication and devotion to their customers. Pros: outstanding staff more

Complete kitchen gut and remodel including: all new maple cabinets (no pressboard), framing to open up passthrough and doorways, demo old saltillo and new tiling (kitchen, entry, formal dining, utility room, hallways), popcorn ceilings removed and retextured, walls retextured, and install new appliances. Project was quoted and completed in 8 weeks. Work was accomplished every business day during this period. The crew are all employees of Signature and no subcontractors were used. All of them were very professional and performed high quality work. We highly recommend them and plan on using them again for bathroom remodels. SIGNATURE WAS GREAT. FROM START TO FINISH EVERYTHING TURNED OUT LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO. NO SUBS WERE USED. THEY HAVE THERE OWN CREW FOR GRANITE, TILE, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, AND CABINETS. THIS IS THE ONLY COMPANY IN AUSTIN THAT HANDLED ALL PARTS OF THE JOBS WITH THERE OWN CREW. GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT WORKMANSHIP. Pros: BEST COMPANY IN AUSTIN!!! Cons: NONE more

We have several appliance garages that needed to be trimmed in order to install the granite countertop. Since the company does custom cabinets I expected they would be able to trim the cabinets. I was at home when they did the trimming and was appalled when I saw the smoke pouring from the saw but what was worse was seeing how my cabinets were splintered from them using an extremely dull blade. During the job Jason would pop in, inspect the day’s work and make a list of things that needed to be done. I would occasionally glance at the list which would include such things as, “sweep floor and remove debris before leaving”. At the end of the day when the job was completed Jason asked for the final payment. I am very glad that I refused until I inspected the work myself. I came up with my own checklist of 20 items and none of them were as insignificant as sweeping the floor. My list included items such as the splintered cabinets, the soap caddy that would no longer close, the screws that held the dishwasher in place were at an angle and sticking out so far that they were scraping the top of our new dishwasher, the plumbing was not capped which was an item in the contract, several places were missing wood trim, and there was grout all over the wood cabinets. But the worst thing we found was that the granite where the sink was installed was broken in half. I noticed a fracture when I was wiping the narrow area at the back of the sink. When I looked at the area in front of the sink the fracture continued not just along the top but down the side. Looking under the cabinet you could see that the granite was definitely in two pieces. Did Signature know that it was broken? Yes, because they had applied glue to try and mask the area. We called Jason who insisted that it was a fissure; a natural characteristic of granite. He said he would write us a guarantee that the fracture would not get any larger. It was a long drawn out conversation as Jason tried to convince us it was okay. When he saw that we were not going to accept the broken granite we were amazed when he admitted that the piece was actually broken before they even brought the piece to the house. Did they replace the granite? Yes, but only because we held on to that final payment they were so desperate to get since they needed it to make the company payroll. Did we have any trust in Jason or his company? Absolutely not! But the worst of our dealings with this company was over the kitchen tile. They install natural slate tile without any protection from the grout. The tile was completely covered with a cloud of grout and all the pores and valleys of the beautiful stone were filled with grout. Jason insisted that this is how people like to see their natural stone. Pros: They are finally out of my home Cons: Tried to hide flaws, tile installed incorrectly more

Jason and his whole staff were a pleasure to work with. Best of all, they acted as the GC on our job and coordinated everything with us and other vendors. Mimi was incredibly proactive and anticipated when different contractors needed to arrive well before we ever had to call. I must also say that their standards were impeccably high, requiring the tile guy to rip down his work twice and redo it. This meant a greater capital expenditure on their end (for new dry wall, etc) but never once did they squabble about money. Great company with great people. We will be using them again for our bathrooms. more

Signature Home Improvements replaced tile countertops with granite and added new tile backsplash, as well as installed a new sink and faucet, and cut the granite in preparation for a new cooktop. Throughout the process, Signature was always on time, the craftsmen were neat and professional, and the administrative staff remained in constant touch with me to see how the process was going, and to make sure any concerns I had were taken care of. The job was completed on time and the quality was great! Its rare to find a company with such dedication to excellent service, but when you find one, you recommend it to others. This is a unique company that delivers everything they promise. They refaced cabinets in two baths and custom built cabinets for my master. They installed new sinks, granite counter-tops and fixtures. Everything was done in the time as promised, for the price as quoted and completed by professionals who are the standard in the industry. We hired SIgnature to completely remodel our kitchen and bathroom. They gave great advice on style and function and worked with us to get the right design at the right price. The workmen were fantastic, as were the contractors recommended by the company. Workers were courteous and professional and willing to go the extra mile in terms of service and trouble-shooting. The quality of the cabinets and countertops we chose was excellent. We had natural oak shaker cabinets and granite countertops. We got to pick out our granite and tile. The work was fast (3 weeks) and efficient. We were kept informed at least daily as to what would happen next.
