Sicola's Catering & Pvt Dining

Our family lives in St Louis and we were looking for a venue to host our son?s rehearsal dinner party in Austin. The bride had heard of Sicola?s and supplied us with the phone number. We contacted Brenda Sicola and were very pleased with her professional demeanor and knowledge. She sent us photos of the restaurant and we worked out details like decorations, place settings and menu suggestions. At the actual event, our guests were charmed by the lovely d?cor of the restaurant. During cocktail hour we were treated to wonderful and plentiful mushroom and brie tarts and crab cakes with spicy dill aioli. The sit down dinner consisted of a refreshing salad of mixed baby greens with carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, red onion and balsamic vinaigrette. The entr?e provided a choice of roasted Mahi-Mahi with peach salsa or Roast pork tenderloin with chimichurri, both served with seasonal vegetables and herbed white and wild rice. Dessert was a heavenly tiramisu or lemon mint sorbet. We met the Chef a day earlier and he gave us a tasty sampling of the hors d?oeuvres. I'm not sure how he does it, but it seems Chef Stephen Sicola takes the cuisine to higher levels with each meal served at Sicola's. There is such beauty in owning the venue for the evening and having all details attended to. I love Sicola's and will continue to have all my functions there. I have been to numerous special events at Sicolas. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere has always been elegant and festive. If you are not on their mailing list for special events announcements, you should be!! Pros: Extremely customer oriented. Fantastic food. Cons: None. more

I have been to several special events at Sicola's - corporate holiday parties, wedding rehearsals, a 40th birthday party - and have always enjoyed the private setting. I wish I would have thought to do this. For years you hosted these types of occassions at upscale restaurants. However, you're always competing with the restaurant's crowd even if you are in a private room. You are still sharing the facility. Having an event at Sicola's is like renting out the entire restaurant without spending as much as that would cost to do. Brilliant! more

I attended an event recently at Sicola's and was very impressed with the quality of food and service we received. Everything was well organized, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere very intimate and inviting. All in all, we had a wonderful evening, and I'm definitely going to plan my next holiday party here! more

Delicious food, innovative presentation, all in a private setting. I will never book a corporate event and be crammed in some little back room at a restaurant again! It was like renting out an entire restaurant for an evening. The staff is great and easy to work with. Everything was perfect! more
